Grassroots Coffee — Restaurant in Thomasville

Do not visit this establishment. Poor coffee, bad value and appalling service.

I ordered a medium sized cappuccino for $6+ with tip. I received the pictured drink. I did not drink anything, these are untouched pictures.

Noting an natural indentation on the underside of cup there was hardly any coffee in the cup. Basically a single serve Italian espresso with nothing in it. It weight less than an ounce.

Giving staff an opportunity to correct it they argued and explained how coffee is made. I'm not going to explain how many cups of cappuccino I have had, it has no merit here nor does trying to "win approval" for a decent cup as a customer.

An appropriate response would be, "how can we make it better for you?" The staff where dismissive, rude and had a take it attitude.

Due to managements professional response the review has been revised. The original post stands but star rating has changed. Management apologized and offered to rectify the issue.

Mistakes are bound to happen anywhere, it's the response to those mistakes that make a big difference for customers. Glad they are working towards better service as this coffee shop...

Have been getting my cold chai latte’s for years from grassroots. I have never had a problem and the guy who makes my drink has always been friendly and courteous. Today the general manager, Kerrie was in the store when I was ordering and she proceeded to tell me my drink would not fill the glass. I told her my drink has always filled the glass and I didn’t understand. I said he had made my drinks for years. She said well then maybe I should fire him. The she went over to him and whispered some stuff, I did catch why are you filling the glass up. He looked at me and said I’m not. Then he made the drink and it was horrible. This is not the grassroots I am used to and I do not recommend getting an ice drink without ice because you will be disappointed. I also do not recommend being there when Kerrie is there because she is rude and snarky to her employees while customers are standing there. The staff has been so unwelcoming and unfriendly the last 3 times I have been here. I stood at the counter waiting to order while the girl at the register ignored us and had clearly seen us but continued to want to talk to her friend while facing us. Once she finally decided to take our order it seemed like we were an inconvenience and she didn’t say a word during the whole transaction. We tipped anyways because that’s just what we do either way in hopes they at least appreciate that. Then to make things worse, all 3 drinks we ordered were wrong but since we had already had a bad experience with service we just decided to take them and leave (I believe a frappe is supposed to have ice not be milk in liquid form, ice cubes would have been close enough if they didn’t know how to make it) I used to love coming to this place but I don’t find it worth coming to anymore.
