Imagination Emporium — Local services in Thomasville

Today was my first time visiting this awesome toy store. My Mother-in-Law needed last minute gifts for nephew's 1st birthday and I needed last minute gifts for bestfriends' son's 6th birthday.

Both of those boys have "everything" for kids their respective ages and we both found several awesome gifts for them.

The store is almost like a mini FAO Schwartz, with a lot to look at. We were in a hurry and probably only were able to briefly survey 1/4 of the store. We had specific themes in mind, and the very helpful staff directed us to the areas to find what we were after.

Great customer service! The cherry on top was they happily offered complimentary gift wrapping*, even with us both purchasing several items. You absolutely can't beat that!!! We'll definitely be back over-and-over.

*Note on the complementary gift wrapping: I commented that it must be crazy during Victorian Christmas and they said something along the lines of "we don't wrap during Victorian Christmas, but you can request wrapping and come back to pick-up the wrapped gifts." That still sounds great for us in-town, but important to know...

While this business offers many gift ideas that are creative and fun for children, the prices are quite high. I guess that is to be expected from a store that is not a big box store however. The thing that put me off the most is that they do not have a restroom for customers. Not very smart of a business that makes money off having parents and family come in with children and let them browse for a special gift. In the future i will have to shop elsewhere where they are more accessible and I am more comfortable. No one wants to have go gather everything and children up, go 3 doors down to coffee shop in the rain and be expected to return and...

This toy shop is a must-visit for families in the area! They have an incredible selection of toys to spark your kids' imaginations. Plus, adults will love the nostalgic finds that bring back childhood memories. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, but parking can be a bit tight. You might need to park around the corner and walk up. Trust me, it's worth the short walk! If you're looking for a fun afternoon with the family, this toy shop is a hidden gem. You'll definitely want to come back...
