Abundant Restaurant — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I love African food!!!!!! Let's just start there!!!!! I ordered $35 worth of food thru the Uber app....to pick up....around noon...pick up was 1:43p I showed up and told them I ordered thru the app...the lady had no clue the gentleman in the back said oh yes ok...I wait came back to the window around 2:00ish they came to me with a pen and pad and said how can I help u....I asked I'm waiting for my Uber order for pickup...he said oh yes.....give me 5 mins....he comes back not exaggerating 30 mins later with a bottled water and a bag of food...by this time I'm about to blow my lid!!! I'm starving my son is in the car waiting so we take off and GUESS WHAT WE CAME ESPECIALLY FOR FOO FOO WE ORDERED SO MUCH STEW FOR THE FOO FOO AND THERE WAS NONE!!!!!!!!! MY WHOLE FAMILY KEPT ASKING ME WHERE WAS THE FOO FOO AND WHY DIDNT I CALL THE RESTAURANT TO COMPLAIN???? Because I knew either I would never return or simply give them a review.....we will see if I give this place...

First off I had no idea this place was here I moved to Indiana and when I tell you seasoned food is scarce. This place THIS PLACE OMG! First off I believe food speaks for it’s self. Whew chilllddd They goat meat is soo succulent (drool) . They yam porridge is so yummy I am hoping I get back Wednesday just to get more hope they make it. They egusi & pounded yam speaks for itself. But lord if they don’t put they foot in the jollof it’s always moist and perfect 👌🏻. They plantains and chin chin is just the right amount of of sweet. They mixed meats are always proportional as well. I believe a mother and daughter run this restaurant. but, the guy is kind that works there as well bless they hearts. I love it. Thanks For putting some seasoning back in my life I travel a lot so I love I have the option of this place when I come in...

My experience here was not good today. The owner of the place (a woman) wasn’t friendly and didn’t have good customer service like I expected. I like the food here and I usually pick up my food with no problem, but today I was getting ready to pay for my food and noticed that the drink didn’t come with my jollof rice meal. Keep in mind every time I order this meal a can of pop always comes with it. So I questioned this because it didn’t make sense. She had an attitude and told me she’s the owner and pops don’t come with the meal. Which again makes no sense because every time I come here I always get a pop. Didn’t like her attitude or customer service. Not to mention the last time she took my order (that I called in ahead of time) I got to the restaurant and she didn’t even have it prepared. Probably won’t...
