First time here. The employees were really nice. Met here for a birthday get-together. The waitress was wonderful. It was clean until my baby boosted his energy with their delicious food. I ordered a strawberry margaritas, chicken fajitas +jalapeños, al pastor taco/corn taco (which is the bite on the photo), shrimp taco (didn't make the picture) I ate it before I realized I didn't take a photo and the al pastor was in trouble. Anyway, and side of fries, a chicken flour taco, and Al pastor to go. Lemonade for my young destroyer and my grandmother. The lemonade was delicious. The margaritas were good also. The food was OUTSTANDING. WHO MADE THIS WHO MADE THIS NEEDS A RAISE NEEOOWW. LOL, I really enjoyed myself and would most definitely go back and try more of their food. My grandmother enjoys the beans. Most definitely adding this place to my list.

El Mariachi on Torrence has a feel like a cantina and in general does not disappoint. The music is a moderate level of Mexican that one would expect at a restaurant like this. Seating is refurbished and it looks like it's an old, converted bar, but everything is clean, lighting is excellent and there's ample space for small groups. Prices are at a modest markup but good quality ($20ish for lunch plates, $25-30 for dinner helping.) Portions are not overkill which is nice. Some of the style of cooking is slightly different from my experience but still tasty. Had the enchiladas and their shredded chicken was good. Staff is very attentive and friendly, so tip fairly. Their guacamole is definitely worth getting

The food is amazing! I had a shrimp burrito. It was huge! I apologize for not having the picture of when I 1st got the burrito. I was so hungry I couldn't wait started eating. Horchata is perfect as well. The service was ok. It took the server too long to take my order after drinks. I asked for some ice water but they forgot. I was sitting by the bar which is why I'm a little disappointed with the service. I understand Fridays can be busy. But I wasn't asking for much. I will definitely come here again. The servers weren't rude. They Just simply forgot. Will try again soon.

Food was good but service was bad. We had a party of 5 so there was gratuity of 18% (19.87) added to the bill. That’s not a problem. When it was time to pay we did part cash and part card. However, the waitress did NOT tell us that there was 3.5% charge for using a card. We get the bill back after payment and there’s now two charges for gratuity. When asked why it was there, that’s when we’re told about a “3.5%” charge for using the card. First question why wasn’t that told to us when handing over the card? Their response there’s a sign at the counter. Mind you the waitress came to our table and took payment we didn’t have to go to the counter to pay. And also Since when does 3.5% and 18% equal the same amount? After having one of the waitresses and the owner argue us down about CLEAR math, the owner finally decides to just refund the money as he should. Then after all of that that other waitress comes back trying to explain again. I said ma’am if the charge is 3.5% and gratuity is 18% then how is that the “3.5% charge is the same EXACT amount as the gratuity. Now her excuse is that the button on the card machine was pressed twice. At this point you all are just liars and you pull this stunt on people you think won’t pay attention to it. If you’re going to lie, make your lies make sense when you’re playing with...

Was very disappointed in this establishment. This place was highly recommended to me. I'm new to the area and wanted good tacos. I called my order in, when I get there, I give my name, paid & stepped to the side. A lady walked in right behind me, gave her name, paid & they gave her her order right away. There was another bag sitting on the counter beside her bag. Both bags were there when I walked in. I asked for sour cream, limes & extra sauce in which I paid for. I stood there several minutes before the young lady finally passes me the bag that had already been sitting on the counter when I walked in & say oh, I'm sorry I thought someone had gave you this already. She was the one at the register, so she clearly saw me standing there waiting & knew no one had given me my order. I shook my head & walked out. I get home & guess what? No sour cream & no limes & food ice cold. I am beyond mad at this point & it's too cold outside to try going back that way. This was not a good 1st experience with this...

Great tasting food that is very authentic...But lets be real, Have you ever tasted a taco that has absolutely no fat and produces a red oil base when cooked. There is no seasoning on planet earth that is like that. This is a very lean meat that is not STEAK!! This is obviously deer meat. I have tasted deer meat before and it taste exactly the same. I have tasted Gam meat and i know that they have a red oil because of the kind of meat it is. When asking the owner about the meat , he simply stated " It's made with love". if there is nothing to hide, why not say that cut of steak he uses. The same is stated for the ground beef tacos from here. I will not be going back because i know now what i am eating

Update 2/18/16 Ordered 6 steak tacos on corn and was complimented with a $40 dollar bill. I asked them why it cost so much and they replied they charge me two dollars for cilantro and onion for the three tacos I got. They gave me full refund and I walked out? Never...
