Our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) came into this establishment on April 10, 2023 @ 9am. We had an order of Belgium waffles, waffles with chicken breast, 3 coffees ($3.45 ea) 2 kids orange juices ($4.99 ea) a strawberry lemonade ($4.30) a sausage croissant sandwich, 2 sides of grits ($2.99-3.99 ea can't really remember but it was expensive) slice of American Cheese for the grits ($2.99) Side of sausage links and bacon x2 ($3.99 each) our total bill came out to be an outrageous $204.82 and that was with "20% gratuity tax !"
Now lets break this down shall we. The coffee was HORRENDOUS! It tasted like watered down tea. I myself had 3 cups and still no pick me up. I was actually sleepier. The other two coffee drinkers only had half a cup. We were given 6 waters for "free!" But to charge $4.99 for two orange juices was/is ridiculous, especially with a kids meal!
The food was ok. My mother had the Belgium waffle and chicken breast meal and we had to remind our waitress about the chicken breast 2x after 6 minutes of waiting after our table had gotten their food. The waitress then responded with " where is your chicken breast?!" She then returned with a chicken breast fillet ( a chicken breast cut in half).
The service was mediocre not worth a $38.22 dollar tip. I have eaten here before pre covid and the service and prices were not to this level. When asked if we can get the bill explained( it was written in the restaurants shorthand ) our waitress just read it off as if we should have known what the prices were. It was just an moment that our whole table thought we were getting punked. Unfortunately, we weren't.
I will NEVER return to this...
