So I have been dealing with the guy for a couple days told him about my .Credit actually gave him all the information he needed to have to get me pre-started went up to the dealership. The second day arrived at about 3 oāclock not now now I have been communicating with this guy for basically. 24 hours went to this dealership we understood that I wanted to get a newer car. Seems like a pretty respectful gentleman right away. Let me know that he was a pastor making the deal. I proceeded to let him know that I play basketball with a lot of other pastors and right away he said hopefully they donāt be cursing or smoking cigars or any of that stuff I said now these are pretty tight woound guys he says OK well lotta preachers be saying this and that and then theyāre totally opposite, I was like yeah I get it another hour later. I had seen them walking around confused looking houHe comes back and says oh OK weāre ready. I thought I was gonna be able to choose from a couple different cars he had a car parked in front of the dealership doors open Nissan rogue so he chose what he wanted to give me which was right away of a big red flag for me because we had literally discussed what I wanted and what I was trying to do that day thoroughly discussed it so with my challenge credit, I proceeded to negotiate and see what what is he asking for this vehicle so he says this was 19,000. The note the note itās gonna be about 583 now thatās with 2000 down so I said well how many miles on this one he says 99,000 right away my discern is immediately activated. It was already warming up right because he said he was a pastor and while Iām thinking like no matter whatās going on, Iām not gonna try to sell anyone a $20,000 car with 100,000 miles on it for seven years $600 a month. Theyāre better off just junk in that car at this point or just do a half off special so he proceeds to walk away and then all of a sudden another guy appears which I think was the manager. He comes up like heās shaft man Iām gonna put you inwhat you want Iāma give you what you want. I got you. I got you ā¦right all the while that discern is on warning terrain flash pull up is there just by looking in his eyes. so now the other guy original salesman disappears for like 20 minutes after I say basically ask him why would why would I want to pay $20,000 for it for a car with 100,000 miles on it and pay $600 a month and then he proceeded to talk about my Credit challenges and I just basically told him we talked about that before we understand what thatās at where thatās at right so he disappears for about 20 minutes and all of a sudden, the other manager comes back the shaft guy and was like OK man we got you together and then the original salesman was like itās out right outside so I see a blue Nissan rogue looks different than the other one of course a lot cleaner same year maybe five or six different bells and whistles and itās got 54,000 miles or 64,000 miles or something like that so I go in and look at it do a test drive wasnāt interested in one single bit just entertain them being respectful got back. He says how you like us. Itās not bad so heās like let me go work some numbers with my manager, so the manager comes back over there and was like you know that was gonna be a little more like how much more this man told me I need to put down $6500 in order to get in that car with 60,000 miles on it at that point from my response. He already knew I wasnāt going now. I just got off work so I looked kind of shabby and I look like I donāt have five dollars in my pocket 100% so you could tell by the both of their communication . They were me with anymore, right so the original salesman calls the following day and asked me what time do I wanna come in to talk about the original blue Nissan rogue the second one I said I wanna get a new car. Heās like oh OK you wanna get a new car OK you wanna get a new car I said yeah we talked about that the first day. I ended up going with a dealership in Chicago and I put 5000 do .. black disrespect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this dealership. From the start, I was promised that Iād be able to get a car. I even explained my situation clearly ā that I had already run my credit at two other car places and didnāt want to waste time unless I was sure. Instead, the salesman I worked with sold me a dream and told me things that turned out not to be true.
When it came time to finalize things, suddenly I was told I needed a co-signer. My dad came to co-sign, and the salesman reassured us again that we were good to go. But when it was time for the final report, he literally disappeared. He never spoke a word to me ā instead, he had a coworker deliver the bad news. He claimed he had an āemergency,ā but after sitting in the dealership for four hours, it was incredibly unprofessional to just leave without saying anything.
On top of that, the way they explained things about credit felt shady. They told me my auto credit score was too low and even went as far as saying Experian and Credit Karma are fake apps and scams ā which is completely false and just made me feel like they were trying to mislead me.
This whole experience left me feeling like if you donāt look the way they want, have the income they want, or the exact credit score they want, they wonāt really help you. It felt like false promises and a big waste of time.
ā ļø My advice: Be careful when you go car shopping here or at any dealership. Donāt let them run your credit multiple times, donāt fall for what you want to hear, and donāt waste hours just to be strung along. Honestly, a buy-here-pay-here place might be more straightforward than what I experienced here.
Good news I left and went to ride time Auto in crown point, Indiana and was approved to leave the lot with a car with the same information I gave Nissan of South Holland.
All In all,
I will never do business with this...
