Dairy Queen Restaurant — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I’m not one to be a heckler or rude, this was only my third time here, and the other 2 times were just fine, however, I ordered a brownie royal blizzard for $6, and what I received had my mouth gaping. The blizzard itself was dripping when it was handed to me, I couldn’t find any brownie bites, it wasn’t properly blended throughout, I could scoop and see pure vanilla just an inch underneath the top, AND the fudge that was supposed to be in the center was just dumped on top, the sight was atrocious. None of this was the “worst part”. I waited in line again, in the cold, to tell them it was made very bad & asked for an exchange or any leniency, they acknowledged it was made bad & said they had “several new hires”, and I understand that, they offered to remake it for me but told me they always just dump the fudge on top and it was “supposed to be like that”, I used to get royal blizzards all the time as a kid, and I’ll tell you, even in the pictures & what I received as a kid, the fudge was supposed to be in the center throughout the whole cup. After that information, there was no point in having them make another one if it was also going to be horribly made. Instead, I took my loss & ordered something else, but I wasn’t offered good customer service at all, just excuses. Still disappointed, not trying to get anybody in trouble at all, but it was just largely disappointing & shocking. Lucky to get 3 stars from me to be honest😅 Just hope they improve and their new recruits and properly trained instead of using their newness...

5th visit here this summer and we have always loved coming here, but this year the ice cream cones are flat and half the size they used to be. The blizzards are not getting mixed fully and when i have asked for them to mix it more they have sighed at me and another time told me to stir it myself and these also have not been full cups. Tonight i asked for a mini blizzard and it was half stired again and half empty i asked why there wasnt as much ice cream and she told me to push it down. She pushed it down a little and said now push it down more. A boy that was working asked if there was something else i nedded because i was just standing there with my mouth open in shock at the customer service and i said yeah just give me my money back. The girl turned around and said you dont want more ice cream and i said no just my money back and she gave it to me and said have a nice night. Thats why i gave 2 stars cuz at least she didnt argue with...

I used to love Dairy Queen, especially this one because I was a frequent visor there since I was a child. I recently became EXTREMELY DISGUSTED by the Welsh family that owns this establishment. When they showed that they could care less about my innocent friend DEMARCUS HEARD who was also a member of the Homewood community. He grew up there his entire life! This business is more concerned about rebuilding their damn shop than the fact that an innocent person's life is GONE! And you want to know why? Because of the color of his skin and his name is DEMARCUS! How dare the news continuously report the fact of this business having to rebuild back from the ground?! How about the fact that this young man is gone and never ever coming back?! You can try to silence and keep deleting people's comments, but the TRUTH will ALWAYS be the truth and you CANNOT stop people from coming out and speaking...
