Kilroy's Pub — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Kilroy's Is usually better than just OK although for some unknown reason they decided to stay open on the 4th of July which was a big mistake. They obviously did not run comparison reports from previous years. There were only a handful of semi drunken couples and absolutely no atmosphere. I felt sorry for the bartender who not only had to work on a holiday, but couldn't have made much money to compensate. I went to kilroys for the first time in a long time and the woman bartender was very rude. I didn't feel welcomed and I was wondering if a drink menu was offered(again haven't been there In a while don't know what's offered or if there were any specialties) the bartender very rudely replied "this is kilroys" then proceeded to walk away and talk with another customer. First time there. Renovating home in area. Very nice bartender. Planned on extended lunch there. Draft beer very warm. Left without eating. It's a shame established places still don't get it. $10 (without tip) for two warm beers? Time to start treating your working class loyalists with some respect. Premium price, sub-par product.
