Mingles Bar & Grill LLC — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Came here for a 2nd time for recommendations to my friends. Immediately from the moment we sat down the light skin girl with the fake booty was very unprofessional and unpleasant. I thought maybe someone prior to us had pissed her off and that she would lighten up. But no, after serving us our drinks half way threw our drinks she begin cleaning the bar in front of us and snatch my friends drink and poured it out as if she was rushing us to move and get up. So I explained and my friend explained to her how rude that was for her to pour out the drink and she wasn’t even done with it. I ask the manager is the bartender ok?? he says yeah she gona replace the drink she poured out. She then replace it with an overly juice down drink that taste nothing like what we had before it was poured out. She then storms off and goes to get this stud looking girl to come behind the bar to stare at us be weird and harass us to let us know we need to leave. The stud girl even begin to get aggressive with us to the point the manger tells her she don’t need her assistance cuz she began lying and saying she heard me from across the bar. This was very unacceptable for paying customers spending close to $100 and not even there a hour before we start receiving this horrible attitude from this bar tender who didn’t kno us from a can a paint. On top of ordering bone in wings that was $15 for 8 with no fries or anything and they came out looking so small like a box of popcorn chicken. Please do better with staffing don’t ever let a bar tender think she’s Bigger than the program and slowly bring the whole business down. The worse customer service I have ever seen in a bar establishment. Then she had the nerve to ask me for two forms of ID before taking my payment which at this point I didn’t even trust her with my actual card so I ask to tap. Yeah she was never trained she couldn’t have been properly trained on being a bar tender or how to have proper CUSTOMER SERVICE when dealing with the public. Very sad when you try to support your own and run into this type of service that makes you want to get out of character....

Oysters Were Really Good. HOWEVER!

$10 fee to get in after 8. I arrived at 7:11pm. After 8pm they still charged me the $10 fee because of some sports game. The place never even got packed before we left and it’s SATURDAY Lol. I left at like 9:30pm-10pm.

I'm sitting at the bar waiting on my friend by myself. They bring a party (4 girls) right next to me and ask me to move my purse so the girls can sit right next to me so they don't have any gaps at the bar. Mind you nobody is here but about 10 people total. I asked can I just move to a table, they said no because only parties of 4 can sit at tables. Me and my friend was only a party of 2 lol.

Manager/owner tried to go back n forth with me about it. I was sitting at the bar first. Also why would I want to sit shoulder to shoulder with a group of women that are complete strangers (no offense to them). I was irritated before I ordered. I would have left but my friend knows I love oysters and recommend this place. But she was irritated when she arrived because the bartender told her she needed to fill the empty chair and sit next to the group of girls despite it still being plenty of open chairs.

Penny pinching for everythinggggggg. 15% surcharge per bill. Doesn’t matter if it’s just you. Everybody gets the 15% surcharge. Spent $90 for 1 drink, 6 oysters and 8 wings. NEVER AGAIN. I love going out and spending money when I know I’m getting decent service (don’t got be top tier), especially when food and drinks are involved but I couldn’t even enjoy myself because they so petty. I wish I could give this review no stars but here we are. I visited this establishment with 8 more other people. As my cousins and I walked in we sat down at a booth. A young lady, who I now know to be the owners daughter came up to the table and said, “you gotta buy a bottle to sit here.” I then replied, “okay.” I assumed she was going to walk off so that we could discuss our options but she stood there and then said, “that mean you can’t sit here.” As I gathered my things to walk off, my cousin said, “you didn’t give us a chance to discuss it.” We still never received a menu. So we stayed at the bar and ordered a round of shots. When we told the bartender we had more people coming, she found us a table. While getting seated the stud looking security guard walked up and said, “it’s more of y’all coming? Who said y’all could sit here?” After answering the questions she walked away. After sitting and waiting for 13 mins we finally received menus. As we’re sitting eating and drinking, the owners daughter is loudly talking to whom I’m guessing to be friends of hers. She’s continuing to speak on the issue, more than 30 mins later. At this point we feel harassed. After still spending over $100 in this establishment. Then for the waitress to say, “20% gratuity is automatically added.” So I have no choice but to tip for this bad service. Which is really a shame because it is a nice black establishment.
