As promised we gave Capitol Pizza another try! This time we went with basic pepperoni on one half and pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño on the other half. We ordered an XL pizza...and WOW, it was an enormous pizza! We had to place the box on the floor because we didn't have enough space to place it on our table (take it we live in an apartment with a small dining room table)!
I have to say this second time-around did not disappoint. These guys don't skimp on the toppings, the entire pizza was evenly covered and looked picture perfect, ready for that prime time TV commercial! The crust was thin towards the center and at the edge was crispy and flavorful.
Pizza did come out a bit pricey at about $30 but it did feed our family of 3 for 3 meals, so it definitely went the distance (Yooo Adrian!). We also did use a coupon code that they left by our door along with a nice little fridge magnet calendar...nifty!
Capitol Pizza will be our local pizza joint for the foreseeable future, would like to see some more deals come out of the Thornton location since we are limited with good pizza choices in the North Metro area.
Great job Capitol Pizza!

I’ve passed this pizza place many times on my way back home from work so today we decided to give it a try. We ordered the pepperoni blowout, upon picking up the pizza, I was pretty amazed at the amount of pepperoni!!! This actually had be a bit excited I must admit.
Upon getting home and having a couple of slices, we came to the conclusion that it was “Okay”. The pepperoni was indeed a blowout, and a complete overpowering flavor. I did notice the pizza sauce was heavy on the oregano, and by heavy I mean...at times I could taste the oregano above the pepperoni!!! The pizza crust also left something to be desired. And I could feel the cheese but could not taste it at all.
I think it is a great idea having a “pepperoni lovers” option but there’s no balance of flavor or texture. Maybe trying a mix of provolone cheese and mozzarella, a sweeter pizza sauce with a crispier crust could be another experiment. I will definitely give this place another try though, try a basic cheese or regular pepperoni just to get a baseline and see how they do the basics. I’m not giving up on you yet...
Read moreI can't speak for the food, it actually looks very good with quality ingredients. However, I won't give business to any restaurants who blatantly lie about wait times to get you to wait for their food and that's exactly what I've experienced and witnessed first hand at this restaurant. They have no respect for customers time or the delivery driver's and will flat out lie to get you to order from them and/or wait around. Honesty, is the only policy in my book. Update: By all means, contact whomever you'd like. Doordash has record of my arrival time and time I unassigned myself from the delivery due to excessive wait time and being lied to by your employee regarding such. If what you wrote is what your employee told you, then they are lying to you too. However, I'm inclined to believe it was you that was working the register last night which is why you are carrying on this facade as opposed to simply offering to do better. I've read your reviews and I'm not the only one with the same experience. Crying to Doordash because someone left a review you don't like isn't going to fix your problem. You want to fix it, simply be honest about wait times and people will respect you for it. People are willing to wait for an excellent product, but being dishonest and therefore disrespectful of other people's time will sour...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer to Capitol Pizza for about 6 years. I always order the same thing, the carry out special with half cheese and half pepperoni. Last time I called to make an order, they refused to fulfill my order saying that the "rules have changed". I tried explaining to the employee on the phone that I'm a regular customer and have literally been making the same order with you guys for several years. They didn't care.
I've bought probably 100 pizzas from this place and they want to lose a customer over something so comical and trivial? All I wanted was the one topping applied to HALF the pizza. It's literally less ingredients and less labor. This place always had super friendly employees and good customer service but I guess that has changed now.
Overall disappointed with how they've decided to treat their customers and because of that I will never be eating here again. I would rather go to Little Caesars than deal with incompetent management and rude employees. There are better options for pizza...
