What an unbelievable experience. I was here for an hour just in the drive thru. It all started after I was driving home from helping my friend clean her house. It was spotless and I was so proud of myself. Recently Dak Prescott of the Cowboys mentioned the spicy nuggets were back to his team in the huddle during a game so I was inspired to get some. Boy was I in for an experience. I have no idea why fast food took one hour to be given to me. It might as well be called slow food here. The entire restaurant is a complete abomination and I sat in the drive thru and thought about so much during my hour long wait. I thought about my tinder, I thought about my life 35 years from now, I thought about if I really do want 9 kids. I even thought about if I want to try to have a pet cheetah when I’m 45. Ultimately I decided that was a hard pass.
At the 36.2 minute mark of my wait (yes I kept count) I walked around for a solid stretch because my legs were going numb. I couldn’t believe what was happening but I like to consider myself a ride or die kind of guy. I’m either in or out. I was all in for these nuggets. When I finally got to the window I had to pee so bad. I asked the lady if I had time to run in to pee and she told me yes. I’ve never turned off my car faster and ran inside than at that very moment. As I walked in I saw disgruntled customers waiting on their food as well. I believe only two people were working at this time. I used the bathroom and walked back out and started my car again. The wait continued for my food.
I commend the lady in the drive thru. She was very apologetic and almost in tears. She even gave me free fries and a frosty for my wait. Finally after one hour I received my food. Hallelujah! By the time I got home I was starving and ready to pass out. I inhaled my 20 nuggets and fries and hopped on Call of Duty for a good time. What an experience. I like to think I’m psychologically conditioned for this stuff. One time my plane to NY was delayed 12 hours because of a snow storm and we got diverted to Boston. It was a rough time but it makes times like my Wendy’s experience a little more tolerable. Spicy nuggets are back...
Read moreI recently visited Wendy's and faced an issue with my order. I made two separate payments: one in cash for a single Biggie Bag, and the second by credit card for two Spicy Chicken Combo Meals and another Biggie Bag, totaling four drinks. Initially, I received six drinks before any food was handed out. Upon informing the staff member about the excess drinks, she instructed me to keep them and provided two different receipts.
Upon reviewing my receipts at home, I discovered I was overcharged by $10 and had been given two extra Biggie Bags. I contacted the manager, who offered two options to rectify the error: either leaving my name for a food credit or receiving a refund—$5 in cash and $5 credited back to my card. I chose the refund option and planned to visit that evening.
When I arrived at the dining area, the staff were aware of the situation. An employee informed me that the manager was on the phone and would provide a $10 cash refund. However, the register only contained large bills. The employee then communicated with the manager via cell phone, who stated that I needed to return the extra food to receive the cash refund. This requirement had not been disclosed during our initial phone call.
Ultimately, the drive-thru attendant did not correctly process my order, and the manager failed to honor their commitment to a refund without additional stipulations. As my total purchase amounted to $47 across both receipts, I felt misled and insulted by the service received. Therefore, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment.
By the way the manager I initially...
Read moreThis location right next to the post office on 88th and Washington is the worst! 😮💨 They're ALWAYS flipping closing a couple hrs early and closed when I go for a semi late night snack!! Supposed to be open until 1am!! Ya right! But I did catch a couple employees still there one night that the drive thru was saying they were closed yet it was only 11p.m and when sound why they are ALWAYS closed early, they told me they were short-staffed. So there's that... Also i noticed a couple of times here going thru the drive thru where they say they are ONLY accepting cash, CLAIMING that their systems are down and they can't accept cards at the moment!🚫💳💸🙄 I know for sure I've experienced that AT LEAST twice at this specific location 🤷🏼♀️ As far as employees from my experiences, they are mostly, if not ALL young, seemingly lazy teens lacking much drive or passion in their work (CAN I blame them?! Technically the quick answer would be NO! BUT my long answer is you've got to strive to do your best w EACH job you agree to take on and ESPECIALLY when it's involving customer service because we DON'T deserve to get the backlash of their self induced misery! And on the other hand, they're getting paid so grow on up!!) As expected some have lil teen attitudes and have been PASSIVE aggressive towards me - how spoiled, self righteous most teens act these days when questioning their reasoning for the out of the ordinary circumstances often surrounding their operations there.! Overall, if you can avoid this location, I would ! I keep giving it chance after chance just to be repeatedly...
