Hamburger Stand — Restaurant in Thornton

They don’t wash the trays here. Get the food to go if you decide to come here. If they can’t even bother to wash what the food goes on then I can’t imagine what goes on in the kitchen. Fries right on the gross unwashed ketchup and mustard covered tray. That’s how people get sick it’s unsanitary and this place should be shut down for health violations. When I pointed out the dirty tray not only did I not recive an apology but I was treated as an inconvienence because I wanted a tray without ketchup from the previous customer. He handed me a tray and I awkwardly moved everything from one tray to another. If it’s your fault I need a new tray you should set me up with the paper mat that goes on it and move the stuff over for me. I really wanted to become a fan of this place because I just moved to nearby but it’s so hard to like a place that can’t complete the most basic tasks. I realize it’s fast food but all food should be held to a certain standard. If you can’t wash your trays you shouldent be serving food. It’s sad that the employees there...

This place used to be a pretty good restaurant. As recently as a year ago the food was good and the staff was very polite. About a week ago I went in to get a milkshake while I waited for the bus. There was a teenage girl at the fryers, which are near the front counter. She just looked at me and wandered about behind the counter stocking bags and such. A couple of guys were laughing and talking at the drive thru pick up window, which is also visible from the front counter. After a few minutes another lady came up from the back. I thought I was finally going to get waited on. She punched up some numbers at the cash register to clear the last transaction then walked away. I had had enough and left. I gave them another chance and went back today. This time I got waited on but the girl behind the counter was very curt. And the corn dog I ordered was still cold on the inside. Either it wasn't cooked long enough or the fryers weren't at the right temperature. Whatever the case, I won't be returning...

The ONLY reason we are not giving this location a 0 (location at 87th and Washington) is that a 0 rating is not an option. Their site lists 11 pm closing time, however, the rude staff members shut the place at 9:45 pm...on 2 different occasions...when we arrived at drive-thru. The one gal was so incredibly rude at the drive-thru, that we requested to speak to a manager. She said (exact words), "Um, no" and slammed the drive through window shut in our face...and returned to mopping. 2 others began to mock us through the window.. Those rude workers need to understand the concept that "Customer purchases keep them employed." Unless this gets rectified, we will not be back at this location...and we will pass word to our commerce group...and friends...to avoid patronizing this location. Looking at other similar reviews, the owner and manager should address the rude/snotty attitudes Pronto (if they wish to stay open). Unacceptable!
