Ho Mei Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Thornton

Sadly, all the bad things other people wrote are true. I went here for the first and last time recently, and the entrees were the second worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. (First place went to a stir fry dish I had while visiting an Australian ship in the Navy, but those cooks didn't work in a restaurant making Chinese food for a living.) Between the shrimp, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, and crab rangoon, the only thing worth eating was the crab rangoon. The shrimp were all still covered in shells, and I think I may have seen a tiny shred of actual chicken in the orange "chicken" at best. Ho Mei hooked it up! The price was great. 6.50 for a huge portion includes a can of soda and with cheese wonton or egg roll(fried spring roll). I got a mountain of fried rice which actually had some veggies in it unlike alot of other places and was very tasty in its own right . I tried the jalapeños chicken which was awesome and worth noting this is the first place I have seen that dish. Cooked with fresh jalapeños i enjoyed it. I also tried the bbq pork which was very tender and had a satisfying bite. The portions were great! I am no light wait and half of this order has me stuffed. I can not take another bit! Been going here for the past 5 years, I notice that over the years they been getting comfortable and making mistakes, such as being rude and not giving me egg rolls onetonces with my combo(or whatever they are call) but today did it for me.... if it wore to be a maggot I would have burned a casket but this was a small catapiller and a small larva but never the less this is unacceptable this tells me they don't even wash their broccoli and if this is just for the broccoli I can't imagine how they prepare the rest...I just can't eat here again.

Edit sep,6,2022: after my review the restaurant had 3 stars now they have 4, they probably convinced family and friends to give them 5 stars to up...
