A review from a former employee: This place has potential, but the ownership and management are running their business into the ground. I have seen Eric, the owner, come in for a meal and have the nerve to complain about the mac and cheese recipe, all the while his business is unable to consistently stay open due to the AC not working and a shortage of staff. He decided to hire a friend as manager which was a very poor business decision considering she has clearly stated that she has had no prior restaurant experience, which to her employees, is extremely evident. Customers are constantly complaining about and avoiding her. She insists on working the bar clocked in as a manager, taking shifts away from the bartenders who actually know what they’re doing. She will put orders in wrong and then blame and degrade the kitchen staff. She will be extremely impatient with employees in front of customers, and to the customers themselves. They have lost 5 employees in a month due to everything stated above so I’m not exactly sure what else needs to happen in order for Eric to step up and take responsibility for the misconduct that happens on a regular basis in his business. If you care at all about supporting companies that treat their employees with respect, don’t bother...
Read moreI would have given them 5 stars because the bar is nice hangout spot. We were staying at the hotel attached. Wedding weekend. After wedding on Saturday we went to pappy t around 1030 about 20 people from our wedding staying at the hotel and drinking at the bar. We were all hungry since we last ate at 5 but the kitchen was closed so we ordered pizza and other food to the resteraunt and they said we weren't allowed to eat it in there even though 20 of us easy were spending much money on booze and I just got married and I tried once to tell him "do you want us all to leave to eat our food? Your kitchen is closed we are all starving and we are all spending money on alchohol and we filled the hotel and your not going to let us bring our pizza in?
They said no. And to boot my wife uses a walker. We brought the food in to her even though we got dirty looks from bartender. But we alll took turns going to the lobby for a slice at a time. That was ridiculous and I have three stars because even though that guy was a dousche bag..... the establishment was...
Read moreThe prices are right... The hidden pub behind the hotel. Haven't been in here for years. Stopped in for a bite. They have a reasonable beer list a bunch of bottles to cover you if you cant find something on tap. Beer all seemed to be like $2.50. The Honey hot wings were rather tasty. Wish they made their own salad dressings, but at least the Kent's Blue cheese is rather respectable. Didn't car for the Philly Cheesesteaks. Skip them, and get a normal Cheesesteak with American cheese, as their Wiz just didn't cut it on the Philly. I mean what is Wiz anyway? Somehow it works in Philly, but it doesn't work with rollerskating rink quality cheese squeeze. Anyway, great place for some cheap beer, pool, full band open mic, and other cool stuff. Looks like Roger Harris plays some jazz there, which is awesome....
