I’m not sure if my first review of this restaurant several months ago ever got posted, as I did not see it in Google’s positive reviews. Although this was intended to be a follow up, I will include my overall satisfaction of the Tilton House of Pizza in it. For a long time, several friends and family members have told me how good the pizza was at the Tilton House of Pizza, until finally, one day my wife and I were in the Tilton area and decided to check it out and give it a try. As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted with pleasantries and welcomed by the staff behind the order counter. Everyone was upbeat and friendly, making us feel like we were “family”. After placing our order for pizza, we sat at a booth and I was able to check the restaurant out a little further. Although small, there was plenty of seating available and it was comfortable, and very clean, including the bathrooms. Our order was soon brought out to us, piping hot and I must say that I have eaten pizza many times at various restaurants all over the country, and my wife and I agreed that this was the BEST ever. The friendliness of the owners and staff continued as we finished and were leaving, ensuring that we were totally satisfied with our meal. FOLLOW UP: After having returned several times and always being happy with the service and quality of the pizza at this restaurant, one day we stopped and decided to try something else on the menu to see if it was equally as good. We both decided to try seafood, and once again were not disappointed, as the meal was very tasty and cooked to perfection! I have also dined at several seafood restaurants all over the country, and this meal was equally as good, if not better than those who specialize in seafood. OVERALL: If you want to dine in or take out and have excellent food in a great friendly atmosphere, I would definitely recommend the Tilton,...
Read moreMy wife and I went to TIlton House of Pizza this past Friday and were very impressed. First this place can get very busy. However, the staff is great! They handle traffic very well and regardless of how busy, make you feel welcome. Inside there are a number of booths and a long row of tables with chairs. Menu is extensive, but as I keep seeing them on lists for "Best Pizza By State", I chose to stick mostly with that. But not until getting the Dry Rub Buffalo Wings. The wings are large, not the baby wings you find in a lot places these days. They had an appropriate amount of rub, not over-seasoned and were fried up perfectly - nice and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Then we ordered a large Pepperoni, Hamburger and Half Mushroom Pizza and a pitcher of soda. The crew followed the order perfectly and did half mushroom. I know, it should be easy, but if you order "half" items often, you know it is usually screwed up. Not here, nailed it! The dough was golden brown on the bottom, the sauce very good and the toppings plentiful. And a large is large, 16" and with all the toppings and the nice dough, pretty filling. This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. If you are in the area, try them out. Or if you are a foodie like me, drive 45 minutes to try them out. Trust me, it is...
Read moreWent in yesterday to get some pizza for the first time since I moved up here to New Hampshire. My mom and I saw how good the ratings were, so thought to try it. Best decision ever.
The restaurant had a great atmosphere were it was playful, but not insane as some family places could become. It's generous with space to make traversing easier for customers and employees. The booths were generous with seating space, having sat in past booths where they're to small.
The place was clean, organized, the smells of the pizzas and other meals cooking pleasant.
I made my order and they nailed it on the first try. Past pizza places would at least get my order wrong first couple times before getting it right after emphasizing what I wanted and didn't want. Namely sauce, I haven't found a pizza sauce I'm satisfied. Past pizza places that never got it right either put it on a little without thinking, or nearly drown it in sauce.
The texture of the crust was perfect, not to hard, but having a good crunch when biting in. The cheese and toppings generous and when held, showed no signs of sliding off.
The taste of the pizza was very similar if not even better than People's Choice Pizza back in Connecticut.
Maybe next time I get a pizza at Tilton House of Pizza, I might try half or something with a little sauce to see...
