I found very little to enjoy here. As a retired professional baker myself, I understand what is from scratch and what is not. We stopped here to check it out a few weeks back. It's the only real bakery in town, which I imagine is the only reason why it is still open. It is very cutely decorated, but it's all style and no substance. The girl at the front desk was more interested on being on her phone than helping us with our order. The shelves were mostly empty. Behind the counter looked filthy, with crumbs and icing caked on the tables even though it looked like nothing was currently being prepared. We should have walked out. We ordered a few donuts, an apple dumpling, and a few packed items that were left on the shelves. The cinnamon rolls were over proofed or needed to be baked in a larger aluminum pan since they were spiraling out of the container, which made them dry inside and they had lost most of the filling which is the best part. Most of the filling had settled in the bottom of the pan. The icing tasted awful, so so sweet. We had the maple flavor. The donuts were gross. You could tell the icing on both the donuts and the rolls came out of a tub that was purchased at a restaurant supply store and not made in house. It was overly sweet and ruined what could otherwise have been a decent dessert. The apple dumpling was at one point definitely frozen and then baked. I am not convinced it was ever made in house. It was horrible, absolutely inedible and it went straight in the bin. The packaged goods were okay, on the verge of being stale, but edible. Altogether, it was a disappointing experience and we won't be back. It's a shame that this town only has this option for baked goods. Why bother taking so many short cuts and then call yourself a bakery? Hopefully some competition will sort it...
Read moreAt the taste of talent here in Franklin PA over the last 3 years, I met the owners of this business at their stand in the bandstand park when the taste of talent was going on there. The owners are really nice and they have one of the best baked goods around! I had their orange gobs with white icing, their emoji style sugar cookies, and their brownies as well while taking in the taste of talent. All of these are delicious! Love your baked goods and hospitality! This year, it is a real shame with this virus, all the shutdowns and all the events worldwide being cancelled and some events changed due to this virus. If it was not for pandemic, cancellations and shutdowns, i am sure you all would of been in the bandstand park again this year selling these delicious baked goods again for if it was not for virus and all of this, the taste of talent would of been held in the bandstand park again this year. Stay safe and healthy and hopefully by next year, this virus will be contained allowing for the taste of talent to be held in the park and allowing yins to come down with your baked goods as well. Also, your son was a great and talented singer in the taste of talent last year and the other years...
Read moreNew to the area. I was excited to go to Warner’s after looking at the menu. Now I’ve never walked into a bakery that didn’t have that heavenly smell, but there was no bakery smell. The shelves were mostly bare with hardly anything available that they advertise. 1 loaf of bread and one pack of hot dog buns. There were 2 girls working but I didn’t smell anything baking? I bought the smallest apple dumpling I’ve ever seen for 5$, a packaged piece of Balaklava and a cookie for a 10$ total! I guess the big draw is the Smiley cookies that I can get at Eat n Park or make myself. I won’t be back. I’ll stick with Giant Eagle Just a follow up. We come from Butler County, Pa. We are used to walking by the old Stanley’s bakery. You could smell the goodness from 2 blocks away. Apple dumpling - mushy, stale and the wrong kind of apple used Orange cookie - was just a plain cookie, no orange taste, smeared with old icing Balaclava - was obviously not home made. My wife threw half of her half away! I see this is the only bakery in town so I’m guessing that’s how they stay afloat? If there’s no bakery smell then maybe not much is being...
