Obviously we read the reviews before we went and obviously the first handful of 5 star reviews are from family and friends who blindly automatically leave a 5 lol so yeah.. And all responses from the owner responding to reviews blames everyone but themselves.. short staffed, we'll talk to the staff at the next meeting blah blah.. They close at 8pm when the band , dj or karaoke could start to bring in some fun for customers and a night life but choose not to do these things people would love. Then xfactor fans chime in with that dive that also closes early and gives customers nothing fun to do or a chance at a night life. Short staffed? The whole town is looking for work so thats no excuse or they're hiring friends and family over qualified employees. I dont know - not my problem BUT open your minds and think about what customers may want or need from a local bar restaurant. Karaoke/Dj/Bands at 8 till midnight would be something to get people in there and having a good time instead of closing 🤔 Proper prices and food portions will actually attract MORE people not leas (a $5 spaghetti dinner during slow hours sure would bring in some business or $1 dogs) ya might not get rich off of it right away -but gets people in (people attract other people) and buying drings or other menu items. ? We refuse to go to xfactor because they seem to be drama online and but in on other businesses post ect ect. (We see right through their game) We'll eventually come to R&R again but we'd like to see something different than what we seen on our first visit. "1 table of 4 people in a huge bright empty bar looking around for their server" Bring happiness to your place and you'll bring in a crowd every time. Bring confusion, chaos & drama or ignorant staff and thats what the vibe will be. And people will feel it. People dont want crazy off the wall food , they wanna have fun and grab some food and drinks while spending a night on the town.. I mean if someone just wants bland food Wendy's and fast food spots have that market pegged with $5 & $6 meals super quick. Give the town something nobody else is doing - A night life more live bands , karaoke & dj - Thats what people want , they can sit home in an empty place and drink and eat while being alone for alot less money . Dare to be different and be that place people cant wait to get back to when the weekend hits .Thats (Friday and Saturday Nights) 👍 in case...
Read moreGiving four star bc I want them to succeed, but definitely leaving feedback. We had to constantly flag down our server to ask for refills. She never checked on us on her own. It wasn’t even that busy for her to leave us hanging like that. I, nor my parents, have ever had our tabs closed out without us asking or being given the heads up that the server was closing it out. We asked the server after why she did that and according to her, the bar told her they were done serving and instructed her to close all tabs. They closed at 10PM and had live music, but literally shut the entire place down at 9:15PM. We were with a big group of people and we all went 45 minutes without a drink bc they were all apparently done for the night, but we were staying until last song. So. Weird. Just let your staff know that it’s beneficial to the restaurant, not to mention them personally, if they were to offer one last drink before telling customers that they need to close them out. The servers just need to be trained better. Food wise, I ordered the nachos and they looked like the nachos my brother used to make when he was in high school in the microwave. Literally. Just a few chips on a plate with dried cheese on top….it tasted ok, but probably one of the worst nacho appetizer I’ve ever ordered. This place is gorgeous inside and has such great potential!!! Just needs a little more work here and there and they’d be a hot spot...
Read moreI was visiting town for the first time, and stopped in for dinner at the recommendation of my hosts. I was celebrating a special occasion, so I indulged a little bit and had a big smash burger and a flight of beers... (okay maybe more than just a flight of beers but shhh)
The burger was great. I ordered a double, and could barely pick the thing up. It tasted amazing, and I hope I didn't scare off the hosts and hostesses too much with how quickly I devoured it. Pretty sure I was almost wearing it by the time I finished eating.
Really awesome tap selection, too. Great variety. They had everything from a thick, high ABV s'mores stout, to a sour blueberry lemonade ale, and everything in between. Generous pours.
The building itself was clean and made for a cool venue. There was an upper level, but everyone was congregating in front of the stage to listen to the evening's musical act - a solo country guitarist who absolutely burned the house down. Bravo!
Can't thank y'all enough for your hospitality, and a...
