They weren't that busy tonight even though the parking lot looked like it was kinda packed. My husband and I went in and were told by the couple ahead of us that there was a 15 min wait. I understand that they are short staffed so we waited. It took about 5 min and then we were seated. The greeter sat us all the way in the back, in the corner near the car side pick up door๐...plus we were by a window and it was COLD!!!! You could feel the draft every single time the door opened for an order to go out ๐ช๐ถ๐ฌ๐๐ณ I expressed my discomfort to our waitress but she said we couldn't move because they wouldn't know which table to bring the food to....hmmmmm... like she wouldn't know where she moved us to or couldn't tell the kitchen the new table number. But, it just so happened that she sat us behind a couple that we knew and that actually made it tolerable. The water was given. The drink and food orders were given. The salads came out. The food came out...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................then the waitress whispered, "...he's finally making your drinks." ๐น ๐น๐ The food was okay. It was what we ordered 2 for $27 (6oz steak w/two sides; 1/2 slab of ribs w/onion rings). So hubby paid and went to the bathroom before we left. When he came out he said there was a drunk guy in the bathroom stall behind him while he was at the urinal. He said he was talking to himself and made him feel very uncomfortable. Hubby contemplated how he would handle this drunken loiter IF he attempted to attack him while taking a leak๐๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ต BUT, the guy just sat there on the toilet ๐ฝ mumbling incoherently in a drunken stupor. We went to the manager, behind the bar making the drinks ๐น ๐น by the way, and to our surprise another waitress was in the midst of reporting the exact same incident just vehemently expressed to her by a different male guest. She said, "I was just telling him about that same guy! Would you please tell him what you just saw in there?" My husband gave his account and we left before the drama unfolded. That was ๐๐'s...

We visited the Applebees on Alexis road this evening around 530pm to 6pm and it was horrible. First of all we stood at the hostess stand not even to be acknowledged and there was numerous employees that would stare at us as we stood there but never once came to assist. So we took it upon ourselves to find a seat. There was two employees that finally came over to the hostess stand to what looked like help us but instead they stood there looking at themselves and shaking their heads since we had already seated ourselves. The one employee was grabbing a high chair for my daughter is what it seemed but then as she had it in her hand she put it back by the hostess stand and picked it back up two or three more times before she actually brought it to the table that we were at. As the two just seemed as if we was bothering them for coming on for dinner tonight. When the employee brought the highchair to our table she basically slammed it against our table and left without saying a word to us and went back to talk and shake her head with the other employee. The other employeecame to our table after a few minutes with menus and silverware but at this point i was so frustrated and irritated with the service so far that me and my family left without dining. As we were leaving the employee that came to our table had a nasty attitude towarfs us. We will not be returning to this establishment again! As we spend good money for a family of 5 and to be treated this way is just plain ridiculous. If you have waitresses that hate their job this much get rid of them and watch how much more business you would get. Anyways whoever is reading this I suggest you find another restaurant to eat at that would be more friendly and actually want...
ย ย ย Read moreApplebees ruined my 7 year old's birthday. When deciding on a restaurant, my son asked me to make sure we took him to a place that would sing to him. Last year we took him to a different applebees for his birthday, and they sang to him, and he LOVED it. So, to be safe, we went to applebees again this year. When we sat at our table my husband told the waiter that it was his bday. The waiter said he would bring desert, but it wasn't their policy to sing. My son was so disappointed and upset, so my husband went to tell the waiter that we would just go someplace else. The waiter told him no no don't go anywhere else, that if it got less busy (the restaurant was not busy, this was 7:30pm on a weds), they would sing to him. They never sang. My son was so very disappointed since the singing was the highlight of his bday dinner. On the way out, my husband mentioned it to the manager, and she said "not our policy to sing" What mean people! Couldn't even sing to a little boy on his birthday :( And if they weren't going to sing, they should have let us leave after ordering our drinks instead of saying they'd sing to him just to get us to stay. This is just their restaurant's rude policy because like I said, we went to a different Applebees last year on his birthday, and they all sang to him with great fanfare and clapping, and it was so awesome for him! We will definitely never return to this applebees.
ETA: A different manager called and apologized and invited us back for dinner and a belated birthday song. Made my son was very happy. It was never my intention to make a big fuss and force applebees to fix this problem, but I will say that everyone tonight was so very kind and made my son feel very special. So a big thank you to manager, Randi, our excellent waitress, and all the wait staff that came over and...
