"Terrible Management"
I've been going to this place for a few years now, not because they are the best, but because they are good enough and the location is close. However, due to a recent experience with one of their managers whom claims hes the son of the owner, Jason, I think his name was - I will no longer go again.
As I said I've been going there for a few years with no trouble but one evening I made an order as I always do, an order they apparently have saved in their database based on previous orders I've made. The short of it is they screwed it up. No big, they added hamburger topping instead of pepperoni, I immediately called them stating I couldn't come back out and wished to be reimburse because hamburger on pizza is a disgusting topping and we weren't going to eat it. The night manager apologized, no big deal, and offered a replacement next time I ordered, just mention his name. Ok sure, so another time passes by and we order only to be debated with by this 'Owner's Son' (who seemingly is so very proud to be running a pizza joint, living off his dad's success, w/e). He argues that policy states they can only provide 2 dollar credit now on pizzas, it was a 12 dollar pizza. He continues on about how ppl would abuse replacement pizzas by calling in and lie about incorrect orders just to get free pizza.
My rebuttal is simple. 1. You know in your database every time I've ever called in to report a problem with the order, in the last three years you've never had me call in. 2. If you made the simple gesture of showing the pizzas to the customers upon pick up you wouldn't have to worry about ppl calling in asking for replacements, but you don't because you screw up more often then you're willing to admit. 3. pizza's cost on average 27 cents for a franchise to make, macros included, better to pay 27 cents and owe up to your mistake of misinforming the customer their policy and putting the wrong topping on the pizza - then to lose a customer forever.
He ends the conversation with an egotistical remark stating 'O well, there are a 100,000 other Loyal customers out there without you'
Now on to the pizza, Crust is good, toppings are good however they are incapable of making a pizza with more then 2 topping on it without giving you a doughy soggy crust. For some reason they think the time it takes to make a one topping pizza applies to a three topping as well.
If you're not interested in giving your money to an egotist then Id recommend the vito's across the street, they're pretty good and...

Then we arrived for pickup...some man in a cooks apron was walking to this truck filled with hoardings...the truck was advertising handyman work and I was PRAYING that he was the janitor and not the cook!! I was shocked when the lady called out "customer service" and this filthy man emerged! Directly from outside strait to my boxed happiness unwashed hands of this hoarder dirty apron man handling my credit card made me uncomfortable, but those hands reached for my brown pizza boxes and I thought my heart stopped! Please nooooo (My thoughts)!!! I asked for plates and napkins and regret immediately settled in a fourth time as i watched his dirty fingernails figet my 4 napkins and 4 plates and though i needed six my lips could not find the right language.I wanted to throw down the boxes and run like hell! I would have asked for the manager but guess what folks this guy was the authoritarian on this shift at this location on this day. My kids recognized the disgust on my face and as they opened the magicaly enchanted golden boxes marked with the red M their Awe! immediately became Ewww!! as the pies we came to know and love resembled a frozen thawed refrozen thawed cooked pizza concoction I once attempted to resurrect in my own kitchen. Needless to say: Pizza was thrown out at the gas station on central and secor...we will never again frequent that central ave marcos across from Dunkin Onuts oh hell no! Where was dirty dining when you need em?? As a pizza connoisseur with a passion for a good tasting pizza pie especially on mom no cook days I urge you yo... rethink this location if that man is on shift. Your gut will thank me, as well as the CDC.😵 certainly this may be where that stomach bug is...
Read moreCash, In person only I just had generally the worst pizza experience in a long time. I order several large pizzas over the phone for my friends in Toledo. The woman on the phone would not speak into the phone and repeatedly set the phone down on the counter and walked away. I had to call 4 times to get the order completed, I felt very sketched out as I just gave some unintelligible voice over the phone my credit card number. My friends had requested Marcos, and this store was the one that would deliver to their address. A manager at one point picked up the phone and just told me, "I have no idea what is going on". Feeling suspicious about this ordeal, I check my bank account to make sure this wasn't some kind of scam, who knows? I was relieved to see that the charge went through, and that I had proof I was indeed talking to an actual pizza place. Marcos Location 17 the statement read. But, I was very disappointed an hour later when my friends come out to meet the driver, and they request payment to get the pizza. A very impolite discourse ensued, (not the driver, but the manager over the phone) claiming that payment was not received. Being double charged over a hundred dollars for 4 pizzas is a bad deal, and the driver was left stuck in between this. I then had my own conversation with the manager and he just kept saying "Its those damn phones", he went on to say "I have people coming in 30 times a week, sometime with guns even, complaining about the banks. Its the damn phones". Guns!? There is no way this makes sense. If the problem is perceivable, then there is a problem. He also told me the charge I am seeing will be reversed in 3-5 days. My mind...
