Rockets Cafe — Restaurant in Toledo

Went here because Schmuckers was super busy and this place was not (which now makes sense why and should have been our first clue). Walked in and sat down. Waitress saw us, no one said hello- I'll be right with you, nothing. Worked in customer service my entire life and know that it takes very little effort to make customers feel welcome. There was one table of maybe 8 people sitting in the back and 2 or 3 other people at other tables when we came in. We ordered food at 11:45am and didn't get it until 12:45pm. But, we were still trying to give them a little grace. Our waitress was extremely rude and barely checked on us for anything. The bus boy got refills for us and checked on us more than anyone. When our food did arrive after an hour of waiting, it was cold and not just like lukewarm. Actually ice cold. Another waitress came over to clear the table and apologized for the wait but at that point, why are you just now acknowledging anything as we're leaving and paying our bill? This should have been addressed throughout our wait. But the excuse was that the party they had "kicked their butts". And I'm thinking what party? She meant the one table of 8 people that were done eating when we got there. So I'm just confused on how that set you back at all. I love to support local but this is terrible. I hope they do something to be able to efficiently accommodate more than 10 people at a time without it being an issue. Otherwise, I'm not sure how a business can sustain itself with this level of incompetency. Definitely will not be returning...

This small little diner really makes you feel welcomed as soon as you sit down! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I have to laugh because they even know me by my home fries order, whether I have it delivered (via Postmates), I dine in, or pick it up. The little things they do matter. And I love that they support local businesses, allowing me to leave my travel agency business cards - Lisa’s Chic Travel & Tours - for the customers!

Now the food!!! DELICIOUS 🤤Omg the portions. My order - usually breakfast- winds up being my breakfast AND lunch because the portions are so big! My favorite are the home fries and the banana French toast. My friends usually gets the early riser, another 2-meal order! I LOVE...

First experience here and we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table. Our order was messed up right from the beginning. Our waitress removed our plates from in front of us instead of fixing the mess up. Their gravy for biscuits and gravy taste like it comes from a can, biscuits did not taste homemade (toast markings on them.) Not to mention there were dead bugs in the window seal that our table touched. We will never go here again and I wouldn't recommend...
