Went to the spot for our first time tonight.
Food: ⭐️⭐️.5/⭐️⭐️⭐️ had the pretzel bites with cheese (special). It was good but it was just frozen pretzel bites and like a salsa con queso. Yummy but nothing out of the ordinary. Hubby had the bam bam chicken wrap ($12) … he said the bam bam sauce was great but the crispy chicken was not good which brings me to my meal - I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich ($13) … the chicken appears to be some sort of frozen chicken cutlet and it doesn’t taste very good. Seems like that’s what was in my husbands wrap as well. Also it was just thrown on a cold brioche bun which made it less to desire. I definitely would not recommend anything that has the crispy chicken. However, many other menu items sounded great and other peoples food looked yummy so that being said … we will definitely go back to try something else. The prices would seem fair but the sandwiches don’t include a side. You can add fries for $4 or a salad/sweet potato fries for $5. Which we did but that means it brought the cost to 16$ and $17 a plate which was unreasonable for what it was. I think they should reconsider their price point to draw in a bigger crowd and be more comparable to other area options. Or increase the sandwich prices by another $1-2 and include fries, with additional up charge to sub sweet potato fries/salad. Total bill was $48 before $10 tip for two sandwiches with fries and two diet cokes.
Service: outstanding. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ honestly I haven’t had service that great in a while. Everyone was extremely friendly … we were checked on often, and the interactions with staff and their warm interactions with our 9 month old daughter were great.
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good parking. Ample seating. Cool outdoor area. Fun music. Lots of drink options. Awesome staff. Worth it.
We will be back to give the food another try and for the...
Read moreRandomly stopped here for a little lunch on our way through CT, primarily due to the other positive reviews. Between the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, we were extremely pleased with the food. The wrap was absolutely PACKED with pieces of chicken. In fact, I was only able to eat half of it for that very reason. My wife, a die-hard McDonalds fries fan, was raving about the fries here. Normally, I skip the fries entirely, but even I have to admit they were quite good.
The entire place looked very clean.and welcoming. Service was a bit slow, but that was due to having but a single worker taking care of the bar, as well as all the tables, including the outdoor seating. I solely blame management for this (thus, the -1 star); NOT the worker. For someone who was clearly working her butt off, I applaud her ability to keep a pleasant attitude and a warm smile every single time she spoke with us.
I'd absolutely return here on our next trip...
Read moreAt the suggestion of a good friend, my wife and I recently stopped by the Spot for dinner. Here is what we found: This is the place to be for that warm, friendly neighborhood feeling. The SPOT is a great new family oriented bar and grill that really delivers with good food and a smile when you walk in the door. The owner is really "hands-on" to make sure your experience is positive. It seems to have just the right mix of after-work neighbors, sports fans, and families dining with kids. Our food was excellent, and the cook staff took time to do the "extras". The Lasagna was a great, pure Italian recipe (see the photo) Our server on this evening was Cindy and she was pleasant, extremely competent and very welcoming, especially since this was our first time at the neighborhood Spot. We had a great experience and can see that the place will be a...
