Fat Patty's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Toms River

Upon entering the hostess staff was very attentive and prompt to seat us. The sever arrived quickly and was friendly and explained the restaurant to us. The food was disappointing. The French onion soup tasted watered down and had very little cheese on it. I guess you get what you pay for …$7.00 a bowl. The bacon cheese fries were not cheesy at all, thr cheese and bacon just put on top of cold fries. (No good). Hamburger was ok not great. The kind of burger you buy frozen and throw on your grill. Not a fresh made burger. Half left on the plate. Wings were very good. With all the food the bill was around 100.00. Don’t mind spending money on good food but not this quality. I asked for my wings naked and bang bang sauce on the side. I told the waitress I didn’t care for the bang bang sauce and can I have buffalo instead. I waited a bit I guess for them to ring it in and have the kitchen hand it over to them ? Not sure. I took half the wings home and asked for a sauce to go. I was surprised when I saw they charged me .99 x 2 for the sauce. They charged me for the sauce to replace the one I didn’t like and the one to go. Extra 1.98 on my bill. First off I would have capped my leftover sauce if they told me but no one mentioned the charge. A small point but important to me. We go out often. 9/28/25 12:11pm We walked in 1 table leaving. 1 large table there. Few people at bar. 4 host, 1 expo person(manager). We were greeted in about 4/5 minutes by MacKenzie after sitting down and our table was by the server/busier hangout spot. Only asked for drinks. We ordered two unsweetened iced teas.( not enough ice in tea) Came back without sugar. We ordered or appetizer and entrees. She asked if we wanted the appetizer first or every thing at once. We prompted first. Boom Boom shrimp, wings. Wings were not cooked all the way and the shrimp came out on a chipped and dirty plate. ( server never checked on us) Burgers came next. Mackenzie did check on us and mentioned that my order was missing sweet potato fries. Never asked if we needed ketchup. The sweet potato fries took 15mins to come the table. At that time my burger was also not cooked to temp med. ( We were done with our experience). We just asked for boxes. I mention to her the plate was chipped and dirty. She just said she would throw it away. A manger never came around to the table. There is a service charge if you use credit card. Wanted to ask about debit card but she did not come back. The food was great, but I can only give 1 star because of the disturbing behavior from the manager, Jamie.

I ordered the Bretzels ($9.99) with beer cheese, which were delicious, and the Bacon Jam Tender Melt ($13.99) – crispy fried chicken tenders with southern-style pimento cheese and bourbon bacon jam on Texas toast. Our server, Cori, was outstanding – attentive, quick with drinks, and checked on us often.

The issue is manager Jamie’s inappropriate conduct. He appeared intoxicated, holding a green Perrier bottle (unclear if it was water). I witnessed him calling a young waitress over with a flirty finger motion, followed by a disgusting tongue gesture. His behavior didn’t stop with the staff – he was also being inappropriate toward female customers who walked in or were just trying to enjoy their meals.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and unsafe. I’ve worked in many restaurants, and as a woman, I have never witnessed this kind of harassment from a manager. I will never return until this manager is fired. You do not treat people this...
