My friend said he was going to take me to the best pastry shop around. So we went one block, just one block from my house! I had no idea this pastry shop was even there! I pass it 100 times a day going to the 7-Eleven, the Dunkin donuts and the gas station. It's right in between all three, I was almost in shock that I didn't even know it was there! Once I walked through the door, I think I just kept repeating 'Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.' The smell was amazing! I would work there for free but that means I get to eat anything and everything I wanted for free as well! I was looking at everything through the glass and "I want this, no wait" as I kept looking "I want that" or "Oh my gosh that looks so good!" And then I got to the end where the cannolis are. And I love my cannolis! There were three different kinds. Two regular, one with a normal shell and cannoli filling, another with a chocolate shell with cannoli filling and one that looks like a taco but was soft, and had two times the cannoli filling! You can tell which one I bought right? The extra cannoli filling one! I got a coffee as well. The coffee wasn't anything special, I am a coffee snob. Starbucks made me that way, please it's not my fault. But that coffee that I poured, added milk to it, and put two sugar two splendas in, was the best coffee and dessert I've had in, I can't tell you how long! Everything was so good! The customer service was great. The counter girls were so nice, friendly, and patient. The place is clean and smells so good! I just had a great time and me and my friend had some good laughs while eating in the shop. I do want to gate keep this secret but they have huge Nutella jars for sale for $11!!!!! I only get my Nutella from them and of course once I stop in for a Nutella, I have to get a cannoli! I want to try at least one of everything off of the menu because it all looks so good. So La Scala, I'll finally be "slim thick" That's in these days. So thank you! Oh-and Google is asking me for a picture of what I got off of the menu lol-ing out loud. Like there's enough time to take a picture before I start downing...
Read moreAbout a year ago I went here 2 weeks in a row and got eclairs, the cream inside was rancid I had contacted the people working there they didn't seem to mind so much didn't want to do anything about it which was fine. So a year later today I went and visited again I did not get the eclairs I already knew better. I tried a piece of the red velvet cake squares that they had and a piece of a chocolate strawberry and pistachio chocolate dipped sliced cake. Both of those pieces of cake were extremely hard and stale and this is the day before mother's day. I'm extremely disappointed that again this bakery is selling subpar old pastries. Bakery used to be fantastic many years ago I don't know what happened but the food and the freshness has declined drastically. I threw away both pastries. What a waste of money. I did get a pepperoni and cheese bread that appeared to be very fresh and smelled good I still haven't cut that open yet. It seems that their breads are better than...

We arrived about 40 mins before closing time which I guess was a mistake because we felt rushed out. We weren't greeted when entering, we felt as though we weren't wanted there. I couldnt even get my son to pick something before leaving. We just felt rushed. I chose the 7 layer pastries because they are usually our favorite. I enjoyed I thought they were very tasty. The chocolate them wasnt dark chocolate which is fantastic.. I cant stand dark chocolate. It was a milk chocolate. However, my son was disappointed. He didnt like the 7 layers at all. Not sure if he was just being some kind of way because he was upset with how the people were inside or if he really didnt like the taste of them. Anyhow, super disappointed with the time we chose to go have a night snack. I dont...
