My review only reflects the rc car stuff. Seems to be a pretty sweet hobby shop. Lots of rtr hobby grade rc stuff. Staff seemed knowledgeable. Only reason for 4 star is they really only carry basher and scaler type stuff. Which is all great and i love my ascender and my outcast and constantly need parts so i will be returning. But I'm starting to enjoy tc spec racing and if your looking for anything roar approved or spec class stuff this is not it. (Minus the few pairs of sweeps in the extensive tire spot like every rc shop) Castle is great and i have a monster 2 in my outcast as i write this but how could an rc car store have nothing reedy... Or nothing xray or hudy for that matter. I mean even when i go in the liquor store they have that eye candy bottle of blue label for 160$ that you always want when your buying your jack for 30$. But all in all amazing rtr section and if your looking to get into rc or fix that traxxas or axial on the shelf in the garage you won't be disappointed.
RESPONSE TO OWNER: Im not sure how to respond so i just added it on the end of this... Its not a big deal you have a nice selection of good quality stuff. And about the tracks; rc car world, about an hour from your store in Willingboro has an awesome indoor carpet track and an indoor drift course that always has people ripping it up along with anything you could ever need to keep the action going. There's also one of the best outside tracks on the eastcoast jackson rc raceway only about 20 minutes from your store. And theres T.A.P. rc raceway for all your off road racing needs about an hour away. And then if you feel like a drive theres 360v2 rc in new york which is really only 2 hours and well worth it. I dont mean to name drop on your review but i have been to all these tracks and they are all nice and can support the highest level of rc racing and just dont want someone to read your response and assume there aren't any nice tracks around. But anyway i was impressed with the amount of cars and trucks you had. Keep it up and get more people...
Read more1- Drove an hour and a half to purchase a few items and the hot headed rude and obnoxious owner tells me he doesn’t have time to talk to me talk to someone else Mind you I spent over thousand dollars this week for remote control cars I purchased and the owner doesn’t have time to talk to me for a few minutes unbelievable he’s too busy building shelves while one of his employees are in the back feeding the geese this is why brick-and-mortar stores are going out of business people would rather do business with an online store like Tower hobbies that are happy to talk to you on the phone and get your business.
Response - I did tell the whole story my kids and wife were mortified that you spoke to someone like that if you were that busy nyou had two employees standing there doing nothing and one feeding ducks in the back maybe you should’ve had them put the shelf together while you did your job “customer service”. Let me tell you I spend so much money in this hobby you lost the best customer you will ever have walked through those doors and I know deep down you have to know that because I purchased so much stuff in such a short period of time you really lost a great customer And getting back to Me asking Questions give me a break there was no questions. we’ve been talking about the hobby from the 80s while you’re engaging in the conversation just as much as I did so please don’t make it like it’s my fault like you do with all the other bad reviews that people are not happy with your hotheadedness. We had a walk at the store with my son screaming and crying because of you yelling through the store like an animal who does that over somebody saying simply “my wife has a question” YOUR LOSS SIR ... so there is the whole story 2 days later and still upset there is a place called RC car world not too far from you minus the nastiness rudeness and...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would! Ran in real quick to grab a stuffed bunny that my daughter wanted for xmas while my husband occupied her. Was told I wasn’t allowed to pay with my bank card unless I gave my phone number and name. When asked why I was told and I quote “in case something happens” To which I replied “It’s a $30 stuffed animal what’s going to happen?” The hot headed man clearly on a power trip replied “It’s policy” I have never in my life needed to provide my phone number or name to be put in a system to make a purchase! But this information wasn’t needed if paying cash…….This is not normal. What are they doing there? Something doesn’t add up. If a store needs or wants to verify you’re the owner of the card you are paying with they ask to see your drivers license. They under no circumstances need my phone number or name in their records unless they are doing something shady. I then tried giving a fake name and they refused. Had my daughter not been talking about this stuffed bunny for the past 3 months that she was asking Santa for I would have walked out and not given them a penny of my money. So…I paid cash. The hot head on his power trip with his arms crossed and chest puffed out (as if I was supposed to be intimidated by this sad excuse for a man) muttered sarcastically you have merry christmas too. I won’t deny my response- Go F”@& yourself. Situation could have been handled way differently. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional - probably why the store was empty on a Saturday evening- On small business saturday!! To the hot head - I’m sorry that your life is so miserable that the only enjoyment you get is being a complete jerk to others. When you get home tonight I hope you’re nicer to your Mom when she sees if you need anything from her basement! oh and...
