Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Toms River

Ohhh where do I begin... Ok, so, Papa Johns Brownies and 6 cheese Tuscan cheesesticks are kind of me and my girls thing. Sorta like a traditional thing. Get out my face about it. We cute. Anywayyyy. We order on a awesome Monday night we’re having(and no one likes Monday’s) but we did particularly today because we just both had a great day! So, we splurge on our traditional order and even dare to go bold and purchase extra varieties of sauces. Long story short, it arrives, we are literally fist pumping with joy. I think we even high fived! So we opened the brownies and we were just in awe. Next, we open the cheesesticks. Heavenly. Like we have never seen before. The cheese was glistening and oozing! My girl goes to open and display the selection of sauces we decided to indulge in. Each one like the Great Lakes. She opens the pizza dipping sauce and BAM! She says to me, “Babe, what’s this sauce?” I take a gander over at it and I just smirk and say, “Ah, Papa Johns.....you never fail to impress me. A new sauce!” Come to look at it closer, I’m thinking, “ Wow, they went authentic and put a little ricotta in there too!” But my girl disagreed heavily. With a concerned bowing of the eyes she exclaims, “Um, I think it’s mold.”

Moral of the story is, the sauce was not so much of a pleasant surprise as I expected. Turns out the flavor was Moldy Marinara! But we didn’t let it get us down. We inspected the rest of our food and turns out everything else was in tip top shape! Moldy Marinara Monday’s was not going to kill our vibe that day or ever. Next stop now.......Dominos! I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star if I didn't have to in order to write this comment. Went here at 12:17am they were supposed to be open still till 1:30am, arrived more than one whole hour earlier. The man working inside didn't have the door locked so we went inside to order, he screamed at us and got in our face to get out, said that they were closed and not going to take our order. I have never been yelled at like that from a worker at a pizza place before. If you were closed hang a sign or lock the door how were we supposed to know. I ordered with Grubhub, I ordered at 11:02 And the eta of my food was 11:55 , ok I give 20mins tolerable late time , at about 12:55 I started calling the restaurant to check on the status, I noticed they close at 1:10 , I called 3 times to check on my order, nobody picked up , I left instructions with my order, “please call if any problems or if at door “ with my number , no call ever came , I think they just never made my food , and took my money , if you order from here don’t expect remotely warm food , mines probably in the drivers stomach or on the counter, 2 hours and...
