Small, clean, friendly place. Colorful decor and Mexican TV playing loudly really make you feel like you are in a little town south of the border. Even though the place was very busy the waitress answered my questions patiently. And I did have questions because this isn't your chain TexMex food, this is the real deal. I haven't seen many of these dishes since I did an extended tour through Mexican archaeological sites. The menu was in Spanish and English; I found it a little confusing. The chips were fresh made and accompanied by a just-spicy-enough fresh salsa. Nice nip to it. The menu had authentic Mexican sodas and aguas frescas. The orchata was smooth and not too sweet. I always order enchiladas in chain restaurants but here enchiladas refers to the type of meat on huaraches, the dish I ordered. It was a little salty but delicious. Very authentic tortillas. If you are looking for "the usual", skip it, but if you want REAL Mexican, definitely...
Read moreI have been going to this place regularly for over one year. Pros: Good Service, BYOB, English Speaking for non Hispanic, Authentic Food, Great Guacamole, Great Burritos, Pico de Gallo and Salsa Verde y Roja, jorchata, reasonable prices! Sometimes have singers / live music ( Sat. Or Sun.) Cons: Menu has no prices, you need to ask. It should be posted. You need to take the time to ask if dishes have pork, etc. It is not always clear on the menu. Chicken not always tender or tasty with the Burritos. Not air-conditioned well. Bathroom could be cleaner. Over all a simple, great place for Authentic Mexican Food.
Newer Review 06/23/2025 We have eaten here numerous times. The food is consistent, if not better each time. Ate here today, see pics of receipt and food. It was very good. And...

Being it was the first time I ordered from there I went with a simple steak burrito and a horchata (rice aqua). The burrito was probably the biggest size I've ever had and filled with lots of well seasoned lean steak and perfectly cooked brown rice. The rice aqua was even better, the best I ever had, outstanding and delicious. Woman who took my order on the phone and guy who delivered also seemed very very nice. As long as the food is consistently good as my first order this will be my go to for Mexican cuisine. Forget Chipotle, this place is far better ... * 5 stars,...
