The Spot Pizza Grill — Restaurant in Toms River

I've been here with the wife for drinks at the bar. Always good drinks and good food and that's what keeps us going back. Today was the first time we went with the family for lunch and sat at a booth. Kids were excited to see a tv at our booth and it kept them entertained. We were so excited to start our day here until we were "greeted" by Kaitlyn the server with "Drinks"? No hello or anything! Not to mention she seemed like she was either in a bad mood or didn't want to be bothered to do her job. We order our drinks and get those dropped off at the table again by the anti social Kaitlyn. We now order our food and my daughter wanted the penne and vodka from the kids menu. $6.99 she stated there is no kids penne and vodka it's just the full portion, until I showed her the kids menu. Now I ordered the adult penne and vodka and when we received them it was the same exact plate but for $9.99 which I was actually charged $10.99 for. No complaints from us at our table just taking it all in and talking about how Kaitlyn the server is just a horrible server. Not once did she offer to refill our drinks I had to track her down "look for her and wave her over" not once did she come over to ask, how's your food or check to see if we needed anything.

I'm writing this review because I leave servers at least 20% everywhere and I struggled not leaving Kaitlyn a good tip cause that just isn't me. She's lucky I left her 12% because she wasn't even worth that!!! The food was great so no problems in the kitchen and it seemed as if the bartender was good also as he's the only one that ever came over to clear our table.

Sorry for the small tip Kaitlyn but if you cheered up and spoke louder and performed better I would have ordered more beer and you would have made more money.

I went there with my family last night 9/6/2024 for dinner. We ordered cheesy bread and wings for apps, the cheesy bread was amazing just like the last place. When my wings came out shortly after the cheesy bread, I get my waiter apologizing because they were sitting up by the kitchen and they didn't realize it. I could tell they were because they were because they were dry like they had been sitting for a little bit. Then dinner came around. We ordered a kids popcorn chicken, a pizza, teriyaki chicken and a side of fries. My waiter never asked what kind of sauce for the popcorn chicken so it came out with BBQ sauce on the side which my daughter hates, and he admitted he messed up and forgot to ask, then a few mins later my wifes pizza came out which was good. After about 5mins pass my waiter comes up and says you ordered the teriyaki chicken? I said yes he goes ok ill go put that in, and the side of fries. So I sat at the table for about 15 mins total with nothing in front of me while my family got to eat their dinner. Usually the food should of all came out together if this was run like a normal establishment. My total bill was $109 and change, if I'm gonna spend that kind of money som where eat with my family I'd expect to at least have decent food and be able to actually eat with them. I'm beyond disappointed with the way it was run. We live right up the street and was hoping this could be some where new close by that we could go to for dinner. But after my experience last night I can't see us...

Visiting from out of town...stopped in there in hopes to see an old friend..he wasn't there..so I asked bartender/manager if I could buy my friend a beer ..and being that he was a regular , he could give it to him when he came in. Bartender/manager said yes.. so I paid for my 2 drinks..prepaid for my friends beer..and tipped him...when I asked my friend ...he said they never gave him his beer...and that same bartender/manager was working in that bar the next night when he came in....he shouldn't have taken the money if he couldn't do it...from my understanding theres a personality prob between them that I was un aware of.. either way again he shouldn't have taken the money for it.. talk about lack of integrity...and as far as I'm concerned keeping that money Is stealing...awful way for the employee/manager to conduct himself.
