We have gotten Koi delivered from DoorDash and loved their food. My husband decided that he wanted to try it in person for his birthday. We made a reservation at 6pm and we were seated at a regular table right away. The server asked what we wanted to drink, I looked at the menu to see what they had, and she left saying she would be back...ok... She finally came back and took our orders. My husband, son and my father ordered sushi for their meals and my mom, older son and I ordered the hibachi meals. The sushi was delivered in about 20 minutes and the server told us that the hibachi would be a few more minutes. The server came a few times to confirm what was in the hibachi, then she disappeared. Another server came about 45 minutes later as everyone else finished with the sushi and asked how everything was. When I explained that we never received our meals, she was apologetic and said she would check on them. She came back and told us that they were making new dinners and did we want them to go, we said no. My son and I had ordered the chicken and shrimp. Mine was barely warm at best, my son's was cold, so not freshly cooked... My mom's filet mignon and scallops were piping hot. The servers were hovering around and made us feel uncomfortable. My son wanted his food hot so he asked for a to go container as we had already been there for 2 hours. So we all decided to leave. It was then they asked us if we wanted the ice cream that was included with the hibachi... we said no, my mom said yes but never received it. We also had ordered an appetizer which we had never received but were not charged for. My husband paid the bill and tipped them anyway. It was after we got home that he realized that they had already included the gratuity in the bill. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever. We have no problem with waiting but the lies about where our food was and saying they were making a new meal when they obviously did not. Will not return to...

Note: after we sat they realized they needed our spot for a reservation and asked us yo move. We gladly accommodated the request. After we moved a very sweet greeter brought us a $10.00 voucher. Today- again, Absolutely fantastic food and service. We have never had a bad meal or experience with the staff. Nicole the manager is warm and welcoming she makes you feel like family. She is a big part of why we go at least once a week. The place is very well demand extremely clean....

I'll never get takeout again, but I'll bring home leftovers & make sure I reheat it carefully. I didn't even reheat the shellfish because I only lived 10 minutes from the one in Toms River, so it was still hot when I got home. Whenever I bring home leftovers and I have shellfish, I make sure I eat all of the shellfish while I'm there, so I don't have to reheat it. I NEVER reheat any kind of fish. Also, I called in my order & it was a Sunday & it was before 3 pm, so I ordered a lunch & a dinner & the woman took my order, but when I got there the didn't even start cooking it yet & they said to me they only have dinner on Sundays they don't have a lunch menu. I told the supervisor that they should honor the lunch menu for me because they never told me until I got there to pick it up & the supervisor said oh I'm so sorry that this happened & again I said so can you ask your boss if she could give me the lunch price & she said no. What I should've done was just walk out, but it was New Years Eve & I told the other person I was getting it & they had their heart set on this for a late lunch early dinner. I had over $150 in gift cards & now I still have a $70 gift card for here & once I use it, I will NEVER go back there. My family & friends are very good customers there, but we will find a better Hibachi place to go even if it's further away from where we live. So, in case you didn't understand what I was saying, we're EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this establishment!!! So again, after I use this $70 gift card, we WILL NEVER visit this...
