The food was okay (emphasis on okay) and the place was clean. However, the customer service for people of color is very poor. I am a black male & first time I went there I was with my girlfriend who is Puerto Rican. We we treated okay but I could tell that it was more out of respect for her then it was for me. On my second visit I stopped in on my lunch break and the energy was not welcoming. When I mentioned my name it was automatically assumed that I was not the person who’s name I said and that I was picking up an order for doordash, I have never driven for doordash. On my third and final visit I came in once again for lunch by myself and was immediately asked, “Do you need something” in a tone that was stern and short tempered. The person who asked this was an older woman who I believed to have been the manager. I politely smiled and said I was there for lunch and she stated to wait in line for the cashier as she walked way (I was already in line). The person who took my order was a younger girl with short hair, she was actually nice every visit, no complaints. However, after taking my order she was replaced by a gentleman who brought my food out and he said nothing…I told him thank you and to have a nice day and he never acknowledged me once , as I stood right in front of him. When I was mid sentence thanking him for my food he interrupted me to welcome the person coming into the door behind me , as if I was invisible, then he immediately turned and left the counter still without saying a single word to me. Moral of the story , I will not be back.
Side note: the omelettes with meat in them come with very little meat and are filled mostly with...
Read moreSo I have been here over a dozen times now. I have never left hungry or been disappointed with the food or service. The owners play a very hands on roll in the business....literally never stopping. They don't just go from table to table and talk to customers like a lot of owners do but they clear tables, take orders, seat people....literally never stopping and always busy.
A true family establishment as their kids and other family members work here too. We were there for over an hour just taking our time eating and I never saw one member of staff stopped .....constantly moving and turning over tables....some of the hardest workers I've ever seen and always a friendly smile. While seated I had 4 different people come up to me and ask how the food was or if we needed anything else! Wow......these folks have done it right!
I have tried a lot of different items on the menu but I always come back to the sopes Benedict....this Spanish take on an old classic really makes the taste buds explode! Hubby had the clutch burger and good grief was it yummy! I had to steal a bite. With real chefs handling the menu all of the food is absolutely delicious and the different coffees are out of this world!
If there was a 6th star option I would choose it. I really can't say enough good things about this place!
If you haven't been I low key feel a little bad for you. The decor is off road sports theme with an emphasis on offroad motorized vehicles and Baja racing. This offroader really appreciated the attention to detail and truly unique decor. What are you waiting for? Time to...

My family and I recently dined at Clutch and Coffee for the first time, and the entire experience was outstanding! Before arriving, I called to check the wait time and was told it would be about 30 minutes. The staff member kindly informed me that I could add our name to the waitlist via Yelp, which made the process so convenient.
When we arrived, I double-checked with Gina at the host stand to confirm we were on the list. She was incredibly friendly and thanked me for verifying, explaining that she still needed to check us in. Her warm welcome set the tone for the rest of our meal.
Once seated, our server, Frankie, went above and beyond. Since it was our first time, she took the time to highlight the restaurant’s best dishes and checked on us frequently to ensure everything was perfect. The food absolutely lived up to her recommendations—every bite was delicious! Another standout was Joseph, who cleared our plates with a smile and even struck up a friendly conversation. The entire staff made us feel so welcomed.
As for the food? Wow. I have to give a special shoutout to the Polish sausage—I didn’t order it myself, but after stealing a bite from my family’s plate, I instantly regretted not getting my own. Next time, it’s a must-order!
Between the exceptional service and the incredible food, Clutch and Coffee has earned a loyal customer. Whenever I’m back in Torrance, I’ll definitely be stopping by again....
