The menu offers a large selection from which to choose, however, there are, also, weekly specials that run every weekday. I should mention the Happy Hour bar menu which has six to eight tasty selections at a great price. My favorite are Bob's mini tacos. I prefer the beef tacos and I wish that they would put them on the regular menu, they are that good.

The real star of the establishment is the ale. They are all good and even better than good. Particularly the IPA, the India Pale Ale. Bob has crafted one of the best IPA's in the world. A west coast style (very hoppy) IPA that does and will bring IPA enthusiasts from all over to enjoy. Fortunately, one can enjoy the IPA, as well as any of the other outstanding ales, at home due to the availability of the growlers. Then again, the pub is an enjoyable place to have your ale. A friendly and attentive staff makes it a comfortable environment whether in or outside the restaurant area or sitting at the bar. The bar is separated from the restaurant by a decorative wall that has enough open areas and glass to enable patrons to see the other side, yet still feel separated from each other. Situated in Old Torrance, just off Torrance Blvd., it has a free parking lot next to it as well as free street parking in front. This is the most absurd and ridiculous place I have ever been. I've been to the red car several years ago I live in Torrance for over 35 years. I have just finished an 18-hole golf game at Victoria Golf Course. We went to the tortilla Cantina as usual, but it was closed. Decided to go to the red car for beers and chips or some light lunch. My partner ordered soup and salad which was reasonable. I ordered a picture of beer between us. The menu included prices for food there was no prices on the wall or anywhere given to us for beer. When I receive the bill of a one picture of electrolyte Pilsner, I received a bill that total $31.07.$28.35 for the picture without tax. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially because there was nowhere to be found any pricing for this. I am so unhappy and told the bartender such. He told me well I don't make the prices. Never ever will I return to this place I suggest you never ever go...

I can't say I love the beer here. Maybe I just don't like the English? The beer here are made with English barley, English Yeast, English wheat. Thought I would try a sampler of their beers here. The color looks like the beer is unfiltered and oddly enough, all the beers seem to taste the same. The South Bay IPA doesn't quite taste like an IPA, doesn't quite have the usual bitterness. The South Loop porter wasn't bad but it didn't have the sweet taste associated with the porter. Red Car will also have something special not on the regular menu. I couldn't remember what I got but again, it tasted like one of the regular brews.

I like the large area parking lot and the design and layout of the restaurant. It has that nice cozy bar feel. Overall, I think it's a nice place for you and your friends to hang out, eat a few things, but maybe after drinking beers from other local breweries in...
