Dunkin' — Restaurant in Torrington

An employee lied straight to my face after not listening to me or boyfriend. Smooth.

We went in there to get a 25 count of munchkins. The employee already seemed irritated but I figured it wasn't a big deal as it's a busy day. We asked for the rest of the glazed (as there weren't that many left) and then pumpkin as the remainder. Nothing complicated. Just glazed and pumpkin. Yeah, we watched as the employee grabbed the rest of the glazed as well as chocolate and jelly filled. When we were handed the box I, politely, asked if jelly filled munchkins were put into the box. The response (served with a side of attitude)? "No. Did you want them?" Alright, cool. So I paid, went outside, and opened my box. What was inside? Jelly filled donuts. So straight up, the employee didn't listen, was asked a question, and then lied. Funny enough when we went back in there to get the right donuts and that employee immediately walked away from the counter.

I get it's a dunkin, and it's fast food, but honestly? The whole thing was quite honestly bull. There are several other dunkins to choose from in the area. It might be a better idea to go there if you at least want what you ordered while this employee is currently working here.

To end on a better note, I just want to say thank you the other employee who was chill and solved the issue when my boyfriend went back...

Updated 2024 Post: It’s been about a 6 months since I’ve last been to this location, but I just want to shoutout to the night shift people of all the times I’ve been coming back from work almost every night stopping by for some late night snacking. You guys have never messed up a single mobile order I’ve placed over the past 4 years and it kinda got to the point some of you knew me as a regular. Also shoutout to the one man that works the nightshift that randomly and correctly described my Subaru as an FB25 platform. Your ability to recognize Subaru platforms just by the look of them didn’t go unnoticed and it was appreciated.

So this is normally a very good Dunkin but lately, especially when the younger staff is working, they have been messing up orders badly. One time I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese along with my order, I get home and my bagel has NO cream cheese on it. Recently in the last week I ordered 2 hot coffees with 4 Splenda each, so I get my 2 coffees but one has no sweetener in it and the other is so sweet it's undrinkable, my only guess is they put 8 sweeteners in 1 coffee, and this mostly happens when the younger staff are messing around in the shop. It's sad cause I really like the shop, it's close and on my way to work but lately I have taken to driving out of my way to get my order from a different Dunkin.
