Hermanas Kitchen & Cocktails in Lindenhurst Hermanas has been on our radar for awhile, & we got to go for the first time this week! We chose to go during their happy hour, which was a great deal if you want to go for drinks. If you are a taco person, you need to give Hermanas a try. Make sure if you are going on a Friday or Saturday night, to make reservations!! Mojito Tried both the regular mojito as well as the strawberry mojito. The regular was preferred, but both were equally good. Very refreshing mint, & ended up being a lot stronger than expected. Overall, 3.5/5 Strawberry Margarita The strawberry margarita was delicious. It had that typical margarita zing The strawberry flavor came through nice & fresh, nothing artificial tasting about this drink. We also tried the spicy margarita, which tasted strongly like jalapeños, without being too spicy. Both drinks were strong, & refreshing. 3.5/5 Queso Frito Exceptional crunch with an immensely satisfying cheese stretch. These felt like adult mozzarella sticks... both are fried, breaded cheese, but these were much, MUCH better than the childhood favorite. They didn’t feel greasy or heavy & came paired with a spicy dipping sauce that we couldn’t get enough of. 4.5 Roasted Cauliflower Taco This cauliflower taco is served with a sunflower chipotle sauce and pineapple salsa that definitely leaves you wanting more. The cauliflower was fluffy with a slight crunch, a perfect base for this vegetarian taco. The tacos are light & rich at the same time, with layers of flavor created from the gentle spice of the chipotle sauce, & a sweet tang from the pineapple salsa. All of that, brought together in toasty warm tortilla, and topped with fresh squeezed lime juice? Yes please. 4.5 Burger No complaints here, but not necessarily anything special. A standard, good burger. Stuffed Peppers This was a decent portion or food. Labeled as a “large plate”, it certainly can feed more than one person, & ultimately, we ended up bringing some home. The peppers are made with poblano pepper, and stuffed with rice, tomato, cauliflower, black beans, onion, peppers, avocado crema, sunflower chipotle, cotija, & radish!! AMAZING. Not to mention absolutely beautiful as well. The flavors were those of a hearty, comfort food. Everything about them just felt comfy, you could just sink into them forever. Maybe that's the margarita talking... but seriously. Fresh, tasty, filling, cozy, while still feeling fancy and upscale! The aesthetic was a low-key vintage-glam. Decorated with long, gold mirrors & bold trim around the restaurant walls, the small restaurant is both cozy & high scale. They have created a very “instagramable” experience, even with beautiful, vintage looking quilted glasses, & pretty, gold utensils. Because of how small the restaurant is, it is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time. We didn’t , but luckily they were able to accommodate us at the time we went (4pm on a Saturday, HaPPy HoUR ). The atmosphere was calm, but busy. With ILoveLucy playing on the TV behind the bar, & Dolly Parton playing overhead, we could’ve stayed for a longgg time. Hermanas might have been the cleanest place we have been to so far, even the bathroom was spotless (& cute!!). They had plastic dividers up at the bar and tables spaced out for covid precautions, all of the staff wore their masks. Though the restaurant was small, there were only two staff members taking orders and making drinks when we first got there. Regardless, the service was fast and efficient. Drinks kept coming, food came relatively fast, and nice and hot

If you're looking for great Hispanic inspired cuisine with a great atmosphere, Hermanas Kitchen and Cocktails is the perfect spot. The restaurant is tastefully decorated from the walls and light fixtures, down to the chairs. What I really loved were how not all the chairs were identical, but they were mixed with different backs and designs. It added a nice charm and feel to the establishment. Not only did I enjoy the decor, but the owners even added coat hooks on the walls so people could hang their bags and coats near them instead of throwing them on the back of a chair. Also, if you're one of those people who's phone or other devices needs a charge, have no fear, the ladies even thought to place outlets all around so that people can dine and enjoy some cocktails while being able to plug in with no worry of a dead device! Another fun feature of the restaurant is the bathrooms, of which one has a bunch of drawings of dogs, of which I found out are actually the dogs of the owners! A very cute personal touch! Now for the food and service. The staff were super welcoming and friendly and even gave recommendations on what to try. For my cocktail for the evening, I had the winter rum punch which was so tasty! It even looked great and I loved that they use metal straws vs. paper. I am not a fan of paper straws as I find they disintegrate and ruin the taste of whatever I am drinking so having a metal straw is a great alternative. The rest of the cocktail menu sounded great too and I can't wait to try the others! For the meal, which I shared with 2 other friends I was dining with, we had the baby street corn, seared tuna, hearts of palm ceviche, empanadas, tacos, and the stuffed pepper. Not only did all of the food taste great, it looked great as well. I loved how each dish was presented. I would definitely order all of those dishes again, especially the stuffed pepper, which I loved the smokey flavor it had, and the hearts of palm ceviche. I could eat a whole big bowl of that alone! It was so fresh with a little spice kick at the end. I look forward to having these dishes again as well as trying some of the others I didn't get to try this time around. I especially want to try the flank steak which I saw a bunch of people order. What's also good to mention is if you're vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian, there are options for all! I am very impressed with this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's a great addition to Lindenhurst and I look forward to coming back again and seeing what else the owners add to the already incredible menu! I even read on their website that they'll be doing a brunch on Sundays eventually, which is so smart because let's face it, everyone loves a...

Hermanas is a fantastic addition to not only Lindenhurst, but Long Island! This restaurant is brand new and I have already had dinner three times here! The food is absolutely delicious, I was dreaming of the avocado tacos and stuffed pepper all week in anticipation of my Saturday night plans, and they nailed it again- absolutely delicious and flavorful. My husband tried the steak and his words " this is off the charts!" It was cooked perfectly and a great marinade + chimichurri and wow- the rice and beans were so great and comforting, flavorful and I would order them as a side to-go ! We had a table of 7 and every single person was ecstatic with their meal. With 7 people who have all different dietary needs, Hermanas is the place you want to eat- they are more than helpful in addressing any questions and concerns and their menu offers gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Beyond the food, the cocktails are executed to perfection, I can't pick a favorite because I love them all, I highly enjoy the Spa Water and Hermanas Picantes, tried That Purple Drink last night and loved it! Their selection of wine and beer is a great variety and there is definitely something for everyone.

The vibes and energy of Hermanas is so fun, you can tell a lot of hard work was put into making this a stylish and comfortable place to be. The bathrooms are so ADORABLE, who doesn't love the puppy bathroom? And make sure you wear cute shoes, even the floor has a surprise! (holy instagram!) The service is wonderful, everyone is super friendly, attentive and accommodating. The owners are three amazing ladies and engaging with their customers all night, can't wait till they open for brunch!

This is the type of business every restaurant should try to be emulating (although Hermanas sets an extremely high standard!) and I am more than excited to be a frequent customer! I will...

As the weather warms, we’re trying to discover more local gems, and Hermanas can be added to that list. The restaurant very big, but the entrance is slightly deceiving, as there’s a decent amount of seating near the bar. The atmosphere is loud due to there not being anything to dampen the sounds of the lively conversations happening all around the restaurant. Upon being seated at a high top we were quickly greeted by our server, who gave us a rundown of the menu. I guess she was used to the loud volume and perfectly enunciated everything that she said. No need to repeat anything. I ordered a pork taco and yuca fries and my two companions each ordered two tacos. We also ordered chips and guac to nosh on while we waited on entrees. The guac was good and the chips were nice, with a generous amount of unevenly distributed salt. The chips were devoured before we were halfway finished with the guac, but we asked for more chips and they were brought to the table, free of charge. The tacos were juicy and flavorful. The addition of the green sauce that came with the equally delicious yuca fries, made for a nice flavor infusion on the pork taco. I heard that the shrimp taco is great, and the small amount of chicken taco that I tried was surprisingly good. The tacos were around $6.50 each, which is on the slightly pricier side, but if you’re not starving, two tacos can do the trick. The drinks and mocktails were great and averaged in the $10-15 range. If you’re dining on a Friday or Saturday evening, parking might be a parking, as there’s only street parking nearby (I believe) and it fills up fast in the early evening. When we left the restaurant around nine there were several open spaces. We will return.
