Came here for a late lunch on a weekend and fell in love almost immediately. First of all, what's not to love about pizza, but second of all this place knows how to feel a little special and a little different with the small space they've got on Wellwood.
Very modern look and feel with a cool bar right in the front, that I think would be perfect to watch a game or just finish off the night with one last drink and a slice. Felt very clean. Staff were very friendly and were happy to answer all the questions I had about slices and whatnot. Parking can be a little tough, there are spaces right in front on Wellwood if you're brave, but there are plenty of spots on the side streets and municipal lots around if you don't mind a short stroll.
Pizza was delicious. We just did slices, but easily could have had a whole pie! We tried the Uncle Benny (pepperoni, sausage, hot honey, fresh mozz), the tri-fecta (fresh mozz, vodka, pesto, and red sauce), bruschetta, and a Sicilian. The standard Sicilian to their specialties were all well done, but the two favorites were the bruschetta and the tri-fecta. Buyer beware though for the bruschetta, if you can eat it without making a mess of yourself, you're a better eater than I! Would absolutely love to come back and try more of their pies and even their other dinner options all sound incredible. On top of all that, prices are totally reasonable for a great portion on top of excellent quality, you really can't do...
Read moreOkay so! It was me and my fiancés first time here, we've always passed by and finally had a chance to go after church. NOW! I'm a professional chef/food journalist myself and food wise? 10/10, we ordered garlic knots, buffalo sauce garlic knots, a slice of pizza, broccoli pinwheel and a chicken Caesar wrap, hands down delicious! The pizza was greasy but not "dripping onto my plate" greasy, the garlic knots were crispy on the outside soft on the inside and the wrap! Oh my! What an idea with the herb and cheese tortilla wrap. The reason for the 3 stars was mostly because of the staff, the gentleman at the pizza counter almost seemed annoyed because we couldn’t figure out what we wanted (again! It was our first time), normally in a pizzeria they ask if it’s to stay or to go but he assumed we were going and packed it all up when we were actually going to enjoy it right there. Another thing I noticed was he made us get up to grab our stuff from the counter but was walking everyone else’s orders over to they’re tables and telling them about deals, I always love me a good deal on Italiano food especially being a full blown Italian myself. There were a few other mishaps but I’ll keep those to myself, I know these are minor things and I may sound like a Karen lol but it’s the little things that can make a huge difference in...
Read moreI just got my boat down at Surfside 3 Marina, and I would pass this place a few times a day. Today, I decided to stop because it looks like something worth trying boy was I right first off this place, it has an amazing airy vibe. Second, the food was bomb and the service was great. As I sat and ate, I noticed a man came in for his order, and the man behind the counter told him the chef made a slight mistake on the order and whether he would except it or not. The man who came to pickup said he would like it made. The worker said sure give me 10 minutes, and you can have this one also with smiles on his face."" Then another man came out and sat the guy down and asked him if he could get him anything like a beer wine soda water. At this point, I noticed all employees with the same level 10 vibe and service. I'm sitting here blown away by the beautiful service and atmosphere. Hats off to these guys for 10 out of 10 for taking care of the order in top-notch fashion. So I saw this and decided to leave this review, lol. The man came in, got 2 meals, and a vip spot at the bar for free after seeing this i decided to drop some love, and i never really write reviews but they deserve all the stars. Love you guys customer service. I'll be back since my boat is 3 minutes...
