Mangia Pizza & Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

I was here earlier today I got two slices of pizza and a bottle of a new sprite flavor. i was walking from all the way from deer park (I live 5 mins away from tanger so that’s how far I walked) I was tired and hungry not to mention all sweaty. for a day and a half I’ve been having a hard time with things in life and I went on the this walk today to clear my mind. As soon as I entered, I had a chuckle at the pizza I chose. It wasn’t your usual slice it had garlic knots along the crust which I’ve never seen before. I don’t know the Man’s name I’m not sure if he was the owner or just a long time worker but he made small conversation with me and I found him to be quite cheerful. I felt better with things. He doesn’t know me and I don’t know him but from the small talk he made it almost seems like he was an old time family friend. The pizza was great although I do have to say the AC could’ve been put on a bit higher because I was quite sweaty. Everybody I know it says Riches pizza in Deer Park is the best but it’s really not Even though it’s out of the way this pizzeria in North Babylon was amazing the sauce tasted fresh and the cheese had such a savory taste, the best part was when you bit into the pizza the bottom of it made the satisfying crunch sound. I ordered a half pepperoni and half cheese dip dish pie and I got a half destroy pie and the box was ripped and leaking looked like some one either dropped it on it’s side or stepped on it. I’m not judging their food because it’s really good but just the service and the way the person believe his name was Antonio handle the situation. It’s not the first time this has happened I get it you guys are busy and I called at 9 when you guys close at 10:30 you guys want to go home but everyone should get good service. Antonio was just plain rude and he was more upset then me lol. It’s not that I didn’t want to pay for this pie but when you tell me it’s 10 o’clock and we close at 10:30 I cannot make you another one I’ll just give you credit for another time it’s not helping me out. I’ve order many times before and we use to get friendly people. I’ve called before and Antonio had answer and wanted a delivery and he told me he had no one and hung up did not even wait for me to say anything else. Like I said their food is delicious but Antonio is just disrespectful. I get it might not had been the store itself but the driver. But how you treat your costumers matters. New in this part of town , was raining so figured we would order in ,Bad idea! First of all it was $84.09 we we ordered a larger salad, no onions , it came with tons of onions. We ordered grilled chicken parmesan with penne on the side in vodka sauce , it came chicken in Vodka sauce dumped all together, no Parmesan. Penne was so over cooked we could not eat it , it went into garbage. Next was the the veal Parmesan, I also asked for the Spaghetti al dente (hard ) and in a Separate dish, it was again just dumped in one dish ! Spaghetti was so overcooked it was inedible the veal was so grizzly every time you took a bite out of it you had a chew at 100 times that went in the garbage pail as well, along with the spaghetti. We also order a cheese pie, that was just Ok we have had a lot better . It’s sad I alway look to give a good review, but not this time . Sorry my yelp account has many great reviews on it .
