Miceli Brothers Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

• VERY LONG BUT PLEASE READ**

Normally I would never post anything like this but I feel strongly that EVERYONE should know how horribly I was treated by Miceli Brothers on Little east neck road.

I ordered through Yelp (or grub hub) for a delivery for rigatoni ala vodka pie that in the description says it comes with chicken cutlets and bacon for $30 along with a soda and 6 fried zepolis. After the pizza was delivered (late), the pizza was missing the chicken and bacon. I call Miceli’s to let them know my pie was wrong thinking they’d apologize and rectify the situation. Instead I was yelled at by a grown man, who I suspect is the owner. He proceeds to tell me that he does not make a pie with chicken and that grub hub has access to change their menu items. So I respond with “so you’re telling me you charge over $30 for pasta on a pie?” He proceeds to blame grub hub again and said that they change the prices of the items so they make money and that if I’m expecting a refund that I am not getting it. This harassment goes on for another 5 minutes until I hang up and call grub hub.

THEN... As I am on the phone with grub hub, the man calls my cellphone on his personal phone and leaves me a nasty 3 minute voicemail telling me I am just trying to get things for free.

AND THEN.. I receive a text message from the same number asking me how many times have I done this before and how I am good and not to leave a bad review.

I have never in my life been treated and harassed by anyone like this in my life ESPECIALLY by a business. I really hope everyone does themselves a favor and orders elsewhere because people like this do NOT deserve...

This place has a rude, disrespectful, cursing pizzeria manager/ apparently self proclaimed owner. Regardless of us getting a “$5 special surprise bag” deal on the TooGoodToGo app, luckily we didn’t have pork in the “surprise bag” but the pizzeria’s manager was reluctant to even understand we cannot eat pork due to our religion & was dismissive of our first concern. Secondly, once we asked them to heat up the cold pizza as we were going on a long drive they did not want to accommodate us despite us offering to pay extra for this. The manager got disrespectful and resorted to continuously calling us cheap, verbally harassing us and saying to pay for “actual pizza” and “regular slices” If we want hot pizza. He also said we’re not paying customers which makes no sense. Ordering through this app is like ordering through any other third party app like Uber or Door Dash. This food is still from their establishment at the end of the day. However there was this one employee in the back who was kind enough to accommodate all of our concerns despite the appalling behaviour of the manager/owner and helped to mediate his erratic behaviour. I recently had the pleasure of dining at MB Pizzeria & Restaurant, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every part of the meal was enjoyable.
