Steve's Hot Bagels & Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

This is my go to bagel place for two reasons 5 mins from my house and the bagels are delicious!

It can get pretty crowded in here but they move things along quickly. The bagels are great, bacon egg and cheese toasted roll fantastic and baked cinnamon rolls also delicious. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost of cream cheese on the side. It's about 5 dollars which is not worth it! Unfortunately I like to add my own cream cheese so I always buy it. I may have to stock up on Philadelphia Veggie cream cheese as it's cheaper and tastes just the same as Steve's veggie...

I purchased a cake this morning for a client and completely mortified and embarrassed to have found mold surrounding the bottom layer of the cake. I asked before I purchased the cake, when was the cake baked and I was told last night. Mold does not develop overnight. I have been to Steve’s a few times before and each time there is an issue with my order, but this was my final attempt in giving this place a try. Been here 3 times over the course of a few months and very disappointed- the bagels are awesome IF the order is right, but the service we got was messed up 2 out of 3 times- burnt or wrong item on bagel, like mixing up multiple bagel orders- today was the last straw- we asked for tomato and literally there was one sliver of tomato, paper thin !!!
