BJ's Plaza — Restaurant in Town of Batavia

What's to say? It's a warehouse store, they have massive quantities of everything and anything you can think of from electronics to food. You don't need a membership to actually purchase anything, though you do have to use the customer service checkout line if that is the case. You also will probably pay slightly higher than if you had a membership, but still comes in handy if you aren't ready to commit to being a paid member. Prices are generally on par with other warehouse stores and relatively inexpensive. I believe the workers are paid slightly better than places like Walmart too, and the staff here are always much more bubbly and happy than most of the other big name stores, so I happily shop here over crapmart any day. Couple of super minor complaints though:

1)Not a walker/bike friendly area, no sidewalks anywhere on this strip and nowhere to park and lock a bike. But this applies to that whole area, not just the BJs.

2)I'm not sure if it's just because Batavia is a smaller town compared to Rochester or Buffalo, and I've noticed this in just about every big store here so again it's not exclusive to Bjs, but things that aren't common purchases seem to be very rarely restocked once sold out (many uncommon OTC pharmaceuticals,...

I went to vision works with insurance. They told me my insurance would cover $200 for glasses and lenses. When the dr. Said I needed trifocals the woman said I did not have enough for the trifocals. With bifocals I had enough for less than $20 on frames. They did not have a pair of frames under $69 plus tax. I called Wal-Mart they said they had frames as low as $9 and trifocals were less than $100. So I went to walmart only to find out that I could not get Vision works to release the insurance hold they placed on the visionware. Long story short knowing I am disabled (needing 2 knee replacements and in an upper appartment ). In the week it took to get the funds released I went 2x to both walmart and then visionworks and 12+ Hours on the phone between insurance company, then vision works, and back and forth. Was clean and stocked. Only complaint I have is the women my mother and I dealt with believe her name was sue. Very rude. My mother renewed her membership apparently according to her it wouldnt process for 24 hrs which she told us AFTER we tried to check out. She was very rude in regards to having to use their card to check us out because my mothers renewal wouldn't process for 24hrs had we known we would be treated that way the membership wouldn't have been renewed at all!!!
