In response to the review of CAJEM O on here about our Restaurant. She fails to mention that they came into my place at 8:30 at night and we had had a very busy night where we unfortunately ran out of bread, yes, and we apologized. They did not return their food, they ate atleast half of it and THEN decided when the bill came (with a 50% discount on the bill for their unhappiness I might add) they told us they were "REFUSING TO PAY A DIME". I went to the table to speak with them about their issues and the lady was very rude and seemed to be possibly on some kind of meds as she slurred her words speaking to me. She kept saying she was a a chef, then saying she was an EMT, no idea why that mattered in this situation. I've been in this business over 20 years and could tell 2 minutes into this conversation that she was just trying to get a free meal out of us, trying to come up with any reason possible why she shouldn't pay including finding a piece of tiny lint on THE TABLE saying it was in the food, I assure you There was no hair/lint in their food, that was made up because she was trying to get out of paying. After no resolution I told her they could pay the 50% of the bill or I needed to call the police. She refused. So I called our local PD, where she got into it with him getting nasty and rude with him, again stating she was an EMT for some odd reason. The officer himself even asked her if she was on meds 5 minutes into speaking with her because she was acting so erratic. He asked for their ID's, where the man obliged but she was REFUSING to show an officer of the law her ID. He also asked for phone numbers to both of them where the man obliged his but she told the officer no and that she didn't have a phone, obvious lie again. He told her she could oblige or at this point be arrested. She continued to argue with him, insult him, asked for his badge number because she wasn't getting her way. The fiance tells her to stop and gives me his card to pay the 50% bill. The woman looks at me, gives me the middle finger and calls me an *hole and says she will be bashing me online about this! There was a table of a family of 8 in the restaurant dining room the entire time hearing everything btw. After she had left they informed us that the fiance seemed to be helping her walk through the dining room because she was swaying and couldn't walk straight. (keep in mind they did not have alcohol at my place). I work very hard at my restaurant to put out the very best we can but I will not stand for someone like this trying to get a free meal out of me! So, always be aware there are 2 sides to every story as I had to explain mine here in defending our hard...
Read moreOur waitress was really nice, as were the other girls working there. To begin, they brought us out no bread with our order. They didn't let us know beforehand that they had none left. They then brought out the salad which was nothing special, but no real issues there. When it was time for our main course, they brought us our (approx.$20ea) pasta dishes with the wrong type of pasta in both orders! I really hate to do this, but I sent my Shrimp Scampi back to the kitchen because I had specifically asked for it over a different type of pasta. My fiance's pasta was incorrect as well, but he said he would give it a try it anyway. When he began to eat the pasta dish he soon discovered that there were three different types of it in his dish. He then stopped eating. When my scampi arrived again, the sauce wasn't a proper Scampi sauce by any stretch of the imagination. It contained butter, rosemary, black pepper, dried thyme leaves, boiled garlic, and appeared a grayish-light yellow color. I strongly doubt it had any white wine and had no parsley in it at all. Overall the pasta dishes were poorly plated, extremely unattractive, and no where near al dente. Mine had been made wrong twice, had a very few amount of tiny overcooked shrimp, and had HAIR AND/OR LINT in it (just to top it all off)! I used to love this place, I have no idea what has...
Read moreBrother Bruno's Pizzeria in Washingtonville needs to lower their prices, offer more Days that have Specials, during these hard times when so many Americans are out of work. I understand that as a Restaurant Owner during Covid 19 times, they are at a 50% capacity instead of 100% capacity at in house dining, but Im pretty positive that sales for pick up and delivery have increased. I do my best to give business to our local stores and restaurants., however Im on a fixed budget and the prices on groceries have gone up because of supply and demand (aka shortages on some items). And the weekend cook needs to do better on the sausage, pepper and onion roll. (too much dough, cheese and onions and not enough sausage. The cooks shouldn't use additional salt when cooking either because many of us have high blood pressure. One more thing, the woman that answers the phone on the weekdays needs to have more patience and take her time taking customers orders. (she has been snippy with me more than once and then i get the wrong food delivered) Salmon many times is overcooked, chicken is grilled to a crisp where it's impossible to chew, veggies aren't cooked nearly enough. I can go on and on. I'd love to see these...
