I cannot rate on food, service or atmosphere as I truly have not yet dined at this restaurant. What I can say is the owner of this restaurant is a class act. I have worked as a waitress for years especially when I was younger. I supported myself while going to college by waitressing. It was the best way to make the most money in the least amount of hours. Waitressing is a very hard job and it is also hard dealing with unreasonable people who believe they are more important than everyone else and who expect you to do whatever they want even when they have been told before dining if an accommodation they have requested cannot be done. If this patron had listened to the restaurant before even sitting down to start their dining experience, there would not have been any issues. Instead of acting like an adult and just covering what needed to be paid that was someone else's order and asking for reimbursement from their "friend", they chose to bash a family owned business because of their ignorance. We all have an opinion whether it's the right opinion or not, but to try to hurt someone's business because of your stupidity, that is not right and pure vindictiveness. So now that I have voiced my "opinion", I will be taking the time out of my schedule to specifically drive to this restaurant so I can meet this wonderful and honest owner and have some yummy food. Come on people, stop being so evil and try to show some humanity. That 1 star rating is why I love my dogs so much, because they are far more understanding and loyal than 90% of the human race! Kudos to Stacy's owner and I can't wait to...
Read moreMy husband and I have been to Stacey's twice now. We live just over 2 hrs away and this is our new stop when we head east to see family. The food is amazing and the drinks are creative and yummy. You may think everything at first glance seems a little pricey, but as soon as they set that plate in front of you, you realize they charge a fair price. The amount of food, the quality, the presentation and the taste, omg the taste, are far better than any upscale resturant I've ever been to and paid a whole lot more. Our most recent visit was this past weekend. We started off with the porkbelly spring rolls. they were good. I had the 8oz flatiron waygu with scallops, purple sweet potatoes, and cauliflower puree. Cooked perfectly, seasoned very well and I had to bring half of it home because it was a lot of food. My husband had the 18oz bone in ribeye with cajun garlic butter rock shrimp and caramelized onions, smashed potatoes and asparagus. He didn't disappoint, he cleaned his plate. For dessert we had the pistachio ricotta cake and a piece of lemon cake with a raspberry filling. Both were amazing. I would highly recommend if you are in the area to stop in. Heck I would even recommend if you're not in the area to make the drive and see for yourself how wonderful a place...
Read moreI was first introduced to Stacy’s Scratch Kitchen when she was operating a Food Truck at a marina at Sacandaga Lake. I kept going back because her food was so good. Not your typical quick pub food like menu. She has interesting choices and awesome salads and I usually don’t enjoy salads that much. Ever since she has been operating a restaurant, I have been three times. Each time everything was super delicious. The Hippie Chicken sandwich is HUGE and the chicken is moist and sooooo good. The Tomato vodka bisque soup is scrumptious. Again I’m not the biggest fan of tomato soup and this was the best soup I’ve ever had. When I go to Stacy’s I’m very likely to veer off my standard choices because everything I’ve ever had that she’s whipped up was so good. That’s saying a lot because I usually order one meal anywhere I go. The same thing any restaurant i go to. If they don’t have it in the menu I go elsewhere. I don’t like to order anything else. Well because I had such a great salad at the food truck I decided I will try pretty much anything she makes. I have not been disappointed. She changes the menu frequently and there are some great choices available. I...
