Cella Bagels & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Very nice place to sit down and eat, or grab & go! Spacious, clean, professional staff, the food is good, and the prices are fair! I highly recommend this place. Most of the other breakfast spots in the area tend to get my order wrong. If its not one thing, it's another! But, thus far... Cella has been spot on! My only complaint.... my wife reports that TWICE, she has been mistreated by a bald headed Caucasian man, apx 5'6" tall. This person is the manager. On one occasion he snapped at her in response to her informing him that the hot chocolate machine needed to be replenished. The second time she asked him for blueberry pancakes, to which the manager replied "Everytime you come in here you ask for blueberry pancakes, and we DONT HAVE IT!" This is a MANAGER! Someone who is responsible for ENSURING (among other things), that staff are friendly, respectful, courteous, and most importantly..... that the staff are making every client feel welcomed and appreciated!!! This was the SECOND time she was grossly mistreated by someone who is paid to set the TONE of the establishment, and to lead by example, for others under his supervision to follow! For the life of me (based on my wife's description of the incident), I can't imagine what would possess not just THIS individual. But, what would possess ANYONE to mistreat their most valuable asset.... which is the "Customer.....the source of income. Without the "Customers", you would have NO REASON whatsoever to be in business! Never lose sight of that! With that said, I would suggest management incorporate mandatory training for "Customer Service", "Conflict Resolution", as well as "Cultural Competence"! While most people would probably allow their unfavorable experience to heavily influence their rating...... as a fellow business owner, I personally KNOW THE hard work and dedication that one puts into making his (or her) customers HAPPY, in the hopes that these happy customer experiences will translate into a positive review! I won't allow the indiscretions of ONE individual, to influence my decision in rating this business, which (negative experiences aside), is a great business, that I would (without reservation), refer to anyone who happens to be looking for a nice bagel spot! I visited the store and ordered breakfast for my son and I. While the food was being prepared I used the ATM machine located in their store. The ATM machine dispensed my money with ink sticking to each bill, getting on my hands and shirt. When when I walked to the register and explained what had happened with my money and that I wanted to exchange it for clean $20 bills. At what time the boss or owner intervenes. He started making up excuses as to why he could not give me an exchange for the money that had ink all over it. Made up excuses about how he doesn't give change and that he's not responsible for the ATM. He also proceeds to tell me that the number to call is on the machine if I have a problem with the transaction. So I decided to call his bluff and tell him that I was calling the police! Suddenly he opens up the register and gives me clean money! Then he starts telling me that I need to take a tranquilizer. Meanwhile the guy behind me that experience the same problem with the ATM did not even deal with this man because he knew he wouldn't get anywhere. Instead he just cursed and walked out. He was also called names by this person. What a horrible way to treat your customers! I'm sure you guys out...

A Cut Above the Rest: Quick, Delicious, and Fantastic Service at Cella's! A huge shoutout to the team at Cella Bagels & Grill in Selden, and especially to Marissa for providing such great customer service! My visit today was the definition of quick and easy, which is exactly what you hope for when you're grabbing a bite. From the moment I walked in, Marissa was welcoming and efficient, making the ordering process a breeze. It’s service like that that makes a good local spot a great one. And the food? It tasted fantastic. Everything was fresh and delicious, hitting the spot perfectly. When you get fast service, a friendly face, and great-tasting food all in one visit, you know you've found a winner. I'll definitely be coming back to Cella Bagels & Grill. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality meal...
