I wish that I could say good things about this place but after trying it twice, the redeeming qualities are overwhelming outweighed by the negatives. On two consecutive occasions, this restaurant has failed to deliver on all of the items in my order and when confronted about it has refused to issue a refund. Last week, I placed an order from them on uber eats, although the food that came was good, they failed to pack a complete entree which left us a full dinner short. When I called and told them what happened, they were dismissive, blamed the uber driver, told me they could not issue a refund and instead that I could either come pick up the food myself, make a new uber order for a side (that we did not want) and they would send out the missing plate with the side, or that I could dispute the charge with uber. Since the first two options were unacceptable, I disputed the charge and was refunded the $26 for the entree that was missing. This said, the items that were delivered were genuinely good. So good, that we decided to try it out again today and this time I called in a pick up order. When I picked up the order, I thought surely, everything was given to me and because I didn’t want to sit there and look through the bags, I trusted everything would be in there. Wrong. When I got home and unpacked the bags, I again realized we were missing an item. When we called to alert them of the issue and asked for a refund we were told they could not issue a refund “because the account is closed.” They instead offered again for us to either drive 30 mins away to pick it up the missing item or that we could have a store credit Although this, in and of itself is enough for many to be done with the restaurant, the remainder of the food this time was subpar. The two lomo saltados we ordered were under cooked, the vegetables were cold and the sauce was distinctly different than the last and did not taste good. Truly disappointed, especially because we were looking forward to continuing being patrons of both this location and the new location they are about to open. Hopefully, they can fix this, but sadly, I can’t see myself justifying the price of these meals for the hit and miss quality we’ve...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the restaurant. I’ve been coming here multiple times and never had an issue until today. I called in to pick up two pollos a la brasa, and the woman that took my order started by accusing me that I had ordered the same order the day before based on my phone number. When I told her I had not ordered anything yesterday, she continued to tell me “yes it was you, it was your number and when we tried to calling you back no one answered.” I again told her it was not me. As I was trying to put in my order I specifically said I wanted just the chicken, the salad, and French fries. She then returned to saying that “the whole order from yesterday needed to be split out among people.” AGAIN I told her that wasn’t me… in the midst of things when she repeated the order she added French fries to which I told her AGAIN I just wanted “the chicken, the salad, and French fries” I did say I wanted “that combo” and that I thought it was called “combo #1.” When I got to the restaurant that same woman gave me a bag with the wrong order and I told her what I had asked for. She and the two other women that were in the front started saying that I had asked for the combo #1. I reminded her I had specified what I wanted and that maybe she didn’t understand because she was so focused on the fake order from the day before. All three of them gave me an attitude for asking them to correct the order. The whole way they treated this situation was completely unprofessional. As a customer if I’m telling them I didn’t call yesterday that should have stopped her right there but instead she kept talking about the wrong order from yesterday. The woman’s name on the receipt is Marjorie but I am not sure who out of the three of them that was. I honestly wish this complaint makes the owner aware of how his employees address a situation that was not my fault. All three of them kept saying that “combo # 1” was not the same as “pollo completo” and I’m sorry but it doesn’t take much brain to realize that what I ordered was not “combo #1.” It’s really sad because it’s a good little spot but I will not be supporting people who have no sense of...
Read moreWhat's not to love? Everything here is fantastic - drinks, appetizers, entrees, house made deserts & the fun atmosphere. I highly recommend the Leche De Tigre, or their calamares; which I heard are drenched/breaded to order. No wonder why they're the perfect texture and flavor. They don't miss - even any of their appetizers from their specials menu. Even their entrees on the specials menu are great, their grilled salmon they had recently was so perfect. It's really hard to say what entree is my favorite, when they're all so delicious. Chaufa, any of their Lomo's, Jalea, Milanesa or Pechuga De Pollo, Bistec A Lo Pobre are all consistent, super flavorful, and cooked just right. You can't pass on their Pollo a La Brasa - the perfectly seasoned & marinated, tender and juicy, crispy golden brown skinned rotisserie chicken. Pair that with some of their green sauce and yuca fries, the perfect meal. End the meal with their Peruvian version of flan, maybe a sangria or one of their many crafted cocktails and you're set. I can't recommend this place enough. Always a good time, surrounded by great food, good vibes, perfect drinks and...
