FaxChix Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

My girlfriend and I have been here twice now. The first time we had a sit down dinner - she had a whole branzino while I had grilled chicken. We were very impressed and pleased with the experience - the atmosphere was friendly and the food is fresh and tasty.

Fast forward to yesterday (July 4th) and we are headed out for an afternoon of kayaking - looking for a bite to eat for lunch. On the way to the river we remembered Fax Chix and decided to see what they had to offer for takeout. Upon arrival we saw that there were many takeout orders going out and the place seemed very popular with the locals - especially the little Portugal crowd. We ordered some chicken sandwiches to go and were so glad we came. The sandwiches each came with two beautifully grilled pieces of chicken, tomato, onions and lettuce on a fresh roll. Me and Homie get there we’re out of town Mexicans looking for real authentic Mexican food and we ordered and they brought it out I got tacos de asada homie Half chicken plate it was decent but the waiters the ladies where giving us looks and rude faces when we weren’t drinking enough becuase we were in conversations and they were rushing us out and Mexicans establishments do not do that especially if your a real Mexican restaurant becuase the recognize that we’re eating taking and having a good time conversing but not here and to top it off ITS CASH !! Who does not accept Debit card or credit cards now a days we’re in 21st century not in the 1800s do I recomend a Mexican to eat there, HELL NOOO!! All of the people there were not Mexicans excepts cooks so you decide if you want to fell welcomed !!! Do not go there!!!...

It was close to 9 and when they gave us our food they made it really quick so my parents got dry ribs that didnt taste very good and then they didnt want to give us the salad we ordered or the tortillas we wanted extra. However not everything was bad the chicken I had ordered tasted good and the juices were excellent, the waitress was nice. I can understand why they wouldn't want to give us our salad when its 9 because the kitchen is gonna close and everyone wants to go home but we are costumers so if we want to order something we wont our order complete, but thats their moneys loss. Basically what im trying to say is if you want good food from this place go in the mornings because thats when they do their best at night everyone just...
