Hotel Name: Hampton Inn Brookhaven LI||Location: Ocean Ave $15 Parking Fee||Dates of Stay: June 30- July 4,2024||WARNING, WARNING!! DO NOT STAY HERE|We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Brookhaven and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. Despite its central location, several issues made our stay uncomfortable and unenjoyable.||First, there was a large softball team competing in some tournament that was partying from 8:30pm until well past 11:30pm on our first night stay. The group was very loud and disruptive right across from our room in the dining room. We could not hear the television or get any sleep. We called the front desk and no answer. We finally went to the front desk and the agent was outnumbered by the 60-70 people that were partying in the lobby/ dining area. The team had took over the entrance and the lobby /dining area. The overall quality, atmosphere, and cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. The carpet was dingy, dated, and stained. The bathroom has poor ventilation and drainage issues. The sink is very slow to drain and we had to constantly request for maintenance to come and assist with flushing the toilet. We contacted Hilton customer service and informed them about all of the issues and they compensated us for the first night. However, we did notice that they still charged the $15 parking fee and after going back down to the front desk they removed the $15 parking fee for the first night. ||Please make sure you lock the door with the safety feature as we had a housekeeper walk into our room on 7/3/24 without knocking on the door and properly announcing herself. I would not recommend staying here because this hotel does not provide the consistent Hilton Hotel quality of services that one would typically expect from the Hilton Hotel brand. ||FYI, we requested an extra set of towels from the housekeeper and she refused and said we have to get towels from the front desk, although we were staying 4 nights.. This lack of attention to customer service and the overuse of Santal room fragrance blends to cover up the filth was very off-putting. The hotel has to be a franchised Hilton partner because everything that we recently experienced indicates a stay at a cheap motel.||Overall, |As a frequent traveler, I expected a higher standard from Hilton and was very disappointed with this experience. I would not recommend this hotel and suggest looking for other options in the area.||Rating: 1...
Read moreRecently stayed at the Hampton Inn Long Island - Brookhaven for my daughter's wedding that was held at the Bellport Country Club. When you enter into the property immediately you can see how well it is kept. We were greeted by Vikki Front Desk Agent; she was very polity, friendly, and professional. The suite was not ready upon early check in, and she immediately expressed here sincere apology for the inconvenience. She contacted housekeeping to prioritize having our suite ready. While we were in the lobby waiting it was getting busy and Jaime the General Manager, immediately came from her office to assist the guest checking in. Once it was calm and people were taken care off, she noticed that we had been seating in the lobby and inquired if we were taken care of. It had been approximately 10 minutes that Vikky had contacted housekeeping. Vikki explained the situation and Jaimie immediately followed up with housekeeping to assure our room was being prioritize. She apologized for the inconvenience provided us with bottled water, even though there was fresh lemon-water in the lobby. Jaime and Vikki both kept checking with housekeeping to provide us with a time frame when the room will be ready. The room was ready within a half hour. Once we arrived at the suite, we were impressed with the cleanness. The bed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable. During our stay, the free breakfast was great with a good variety and the staff assisting to the breakfast where constantly assuring items were being replenish before they ran out. The ladies were very friendly and helpful all the time. The housekeeping staff was very polite and provided any items I may have needed. The fitness center had new equipment and it was very clean. There were towels available, headphones, and water cooler. Definitely would be back and recommend to anyone looking for a hotel that is centrally located and walkability to Stop and Shop Grocery, Liquor Store, Pizzeria, CVS, Starbucks, restaurants just to...
Read moreI came to Long Island to visit a family member in the hospital, and it was difficult as is to come up with the money for a place to stay and money for transportation. When I first arrived on the Island, I called the hotel to see if it was possible to do a early check in. Once I arrived at the hotel to check in, the desk clerk told me my credit card had been declined. I looked at my bank statement and the hotel already had a hold for the amount of my stay on my card yet i was still being told that my card had been declined. The Clerk did give me the key to my room and told me that they would figure it out and let me know. After a couple phone calls they still cant figure out why my card is still declining with the hold on my card. As i returned back to the hotel, i had realized that now the hotel has 2 holds on my card and no money left in my bank account. At this point i am not allowed to go to my room but to get my things, no money to get back home, which is 5 hours away no place to stay and screwed. I myself work at a hotel and we never have had this issue with a guest. I showed the hotel my bank statement and the two holds they had on my card yet again still denying me my room or my money back. I had to have a family member make a reservation and use their credit card just to get in my room. Finally i was able to go to my room but my almost $200 was still being held on my card. This was the worst experience i have ever had being in a hotel. This hotel wouldnt even accept cash for me to access my room! WHAT HOTEL DOES NOT ACCEPT CASH, ESPECIALLY when they are already holding out all my money from my card and denying me my room... I will never book with this hotel again. The room was dusty and the fridge wasnt cleaned very well, the fan is the bathroom was loud, and the breakfast wasnt that appealing to me or anyone with me. Never again, next time i might just go to the Comfort Inn at least last time was a good stay...
