Food: Good. Service: Painfully slow and poorly organized. Management: Oblivious and overwhelmed. Decor: Nice, new, and hopefully remains well kept. Atmosphere: Local bar
Explanation: My girlfriend and I went here on a tuesday night to check it out and get dinner. There's no host/hostess. We waited for about 5 mins then eventually just decided to sit. A father and son came in after us and experienced the same issue but opted to just leave instead. Once we did sit, a server came by and helped us out. There apparently was a paint nite event going on in the back room, which explains why our server frequently disappeared for about 15mins at a time. The bar had at most 10 people at it, but the owner/manager and the older blonde bartender were apparently too busy checking their phones and fighting to notice if we ever needed something since our server was absent most of the time. It took 45 minutes, 45 MINUTES, for them to get us 8 wings and a chicken caesar salad, which is absolutely insane. Our server would come by ask us if we needed something then forget to deliver it and instead bring drinks to the paint nite people. The bar staff never helped her nor was there any communication about the fact that we may need something. I asked 4 different people that work there for a to go box. First lady said she'd get it, then 5 mins later still had not done anything. So I went to the back and found the blonde bartender there, asked her for it. She seemed angered at the request but at least made the effort. The owner/manager went in the kitchen at that point to yell at her for some reason, then he comes out with the box and acts like everything was fine. At no point did anyone ask us if the food was good, if service was good, the manager never once made a table touch or even thought to check in which is pretty much a basic standard in the service industry. I seriously expect this place to eventually be on bar rescue simply because management has no idea how to handle the job when it gets stressful, yells at staff in front of customers, and ignores how heavily over-poured...
Read moreWe recently had our engagement party at the Grill in the Ville and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Jenn was amazing to work with and was always quick to answer our questions and meet with us before the event. We had a lot of family input and she was amazing with working with everyone to make sure that their needs were met.
The room that the party was hosted in was spotless and we appreciated the extra time we had to decorate the room to make it our own. The room was spacious enough to accommodate all of our guests comfortably, but still felt intimate, and not like a typical large catering hall. I liked that our guests could still use the bar area and mingle around. In the room they let us set up the tables how we wanted and provided the tablecloths and cutlery. At the end of the party we were able to spill into the bar area and continue our fun!
The food was absolutely delicious. We had so many compliments! Everyone had something that they could eat and my brother even said the dinner rolls were the best he had ever had. We went with the second package and was blown away with how many options we had to choose from. All of the food options were delicious but I especially loved the penne alla vodka. Through their package we got a cake from Audrey's bakery. It was exactly how we wanted it to look and was delicious. We were able to pick the flavor and what we wanted the filling to be.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our engagement party. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue for their special event. Thank you to Jenn and everyone at Grill in the Ville for making our engagement...
Read moreSave yourself the migraine and never book/host a party here. My family hosted my sister in laws baby shower here and the level of disrespect from the woman in charge was beyond me. Contract stated that we would have an hour after the baby shower to clean up (which ended at 3pm so we had until 4pm to clean up). The staff came in and took the tablecloths (with EVERYTHING ON IT including table card holders & decorations, etc. that we planned on using for another baby shower in august that we are hosting) and didn’t even have common sense/ common courtesy to ask us if it was ok to throw absolutely everything out. When it came time for my mother in law to pay, the woman asked if everything went ok and my mother in law said yes however the staff threw out all of our things. The woman then said oh I’m so sorry then proceeded to count the money and have her sign the receipt! I stepped in and said you don’t think you can compensate her for throwing out all of the decorations? She responded “no one told us you wanted to keep anything” (mind you we were all grabbing these items off the tables which they saw and they still threw them out). No hospitality what so ever , customer is apparently not right, and no common sense from these people. Especially the woman in charge. Go somewhere else don’t bother wasting your money :) ALSO , we were done cleaning by 3:14pm when we had until 4pm to finish & they had already rushed in and threw absolutely...
