Firehouse Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I guess they've started selling their bagels in gas stations and 7-11's now. I usually get a bagel with my coffee at sevs in the morning, and I noticed recently (within the last month or two, that I noticed anyway) that the packaging for the bagels looked different. I didn't really give it much more than a quick glance until I found the first hair on my bagel... long, black hair... I'm blonde and short haired. Ok, it happens, no big deal. Until I found one on a second bagel the next day, AT A DIFFERENT 7-11! This one was baked in, too. Like, seeds were popping off as I pulled the hair, it was under them. Gross, but maybe bad luck.... then I found another one today, a week after the last one... so that's 3 out of 8 bagels with long, black, nasty hairs in them. I'm done. No more firehouse...

Firehouse Bagels has potential, but it often misses the mark. I’ve been here a handful of times, and while the service is generally friendly and the menu looks promising, the food is almost always subpar. Bagels can be hit or miss. Sometimes too dense, sometimes not fresh. Sandwiches are okay, but nothing that really stands out or keeps me coming back regularly. It’s convenient if you’re in the area and need a quick bite, but don’t expect anything...

This place was horrible. Under staffed, looked dirty and forgot about my order even when they wrote it on a piece of paper and handed it to the lady in the back.i sat there for 35 minutes and in the end I never got my food I ordered and I returned my girls food cause in the 35 minutes she was waiting to eat with me her food got cold...... would definitely make a different choice when deciding what bagel store to go to cause I will never go...
