I had called a day ahead to make sure what I wanted at the bakery would be ready and set to go for me the next day. I was told on the phone that there would be no problem and they have that daily and it would be no issue for me to get it. All I wanted was a cannoli dip tray. When I arrived at the bakery I was told they didn't have it prepared and I would have to wait for it to be made which I was okay with. After waiting for a few minutes the owner or owners wife (she told me she the owner at first and then told me she was just the wife of the owner) came out to and told me I would have to come back and pick it up. I explained to her I was heading to work out of town and it was for a party at work so I wouldn't be able to come back. When i tried to tell her that I called yesterday to make sure I wouldn't have any issues today she cut me off mid sentence and quote on quote said "I have no control over what happened yesterday these are young girls who work here." When I told the owner or owners wife how she cut me off mid sentence and I did not appreciate her tone because she was being rude and made me feel like I was bothering her, she then told me, she was aggravated because none of her guy workers showed up on time to work and she was climbing ladders to find the things she needed for the cannoli dip and she couldn't do it because there were only ladies working since the guys did not show up on time. I find this to be extremely unprofessional for several reasons. She was blatantly rude to me for no reason, she did not try to accommodate me whatsoever, and she belittle her staff right to me. I will never ever go to Frank's And Sons Bakery ever again and will never recommend this place to anyone. I was warned about how rude the staff is at this place considering it is a family ran business but to witness it first hand it so crazy to me. I understand things happen, and I wasn't upset about the fact they didn't not have the cannoli tray for me, but more upset at the delivery of how the owner spoke to me. She was so annoyed and aggravated and made me feel like I was bothering her when I was the one in fact who was caused a huge inconvenience by this. Frank's bakery should be embarrassed by how she represented this business with such arrogance and no...
Read moreMy experience with this bakery is too long and detailed to get into so I’ll try to keep it brief. I did not get what I ordered. When I placed my order the girl at the counter wrote down on a yellow receipt the exact wording I wanted on my cake, for there be “not a lot of flowers” (the design was very heavy on the floral side) and to replace the plastic cross with a cross that was to be iced on. I was extremely disappointed when my Cake arrived with zero flowers leaving the Cale to look like a plain white rectangle. The main words were to be “God Bless Jackson”, which was not on the cake at all!!! The cross was iced on and they got the scripture verse on but it was tiny! A ton of dead white space around the writing. I couldn’t believe this cake left their shop looking like it did. There was no way for me to bring the cake back to be fixed. After much arguing with them over the phone they offered me a $20 refund. They never admitted they messed up. The baker told me “i did what the girl told me to do” I asked if he did what was written on the yellow ticket or if he just did what the girl said, he admitted he only did what the girl said and did not go by what was written on the ticket. Long story short, I gave them 2 stars. Because the $20 refund went through right away and the Cake did taste good. However, I was so embarrassed by this undecorated cake that I did not put it out for my guests to see. It was cut into pieces and handed out. Be aware to make sure the bakers are keeping to what is written on the yellow ticket. Make a copy or take a picture of your ticket because they take the tick upon pick up. My sister picked up the Cake and gave them my ticket so now I had no proof of my own to show how they messed up. They claimed my ticket didn’t say what I wanted. They were obviously lying or they had the wrong ticket in...
Read moreI am so upset. I actually cried my way home. Today is St. Joseph's Day. It's a very important religious holiday. I'm expecting my family and friends. Our priest even stops by to bless the table. Growing up in the town, Frank's was a staple of my childhood. Even though i live a good 35 minutes away, I still order my cross every year. I ordered days ahead of time, pre paid. I got up early today and was excited to pick up my 3' cross. The centerpiece of my table. And guess what I pick up? A 2' bread, slapped into a piece of bread. When I questioned the manager/owner, I got an attitude. The woman raised her voice and snapped her nails in my face. I was applauded that here i was a paying customer, on one of my religious holidays, and i was being scolded. I even showed a picture of last year's crossing. She replied I didn't specify what I wanted. I order every year. Spoke to Paul. I was confident I was picking up exactly what I ordered. So disappointing. I promise this, I will not be ordering or traveling to...
