George's Luncheonette — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Awful in every way, especially the MOLD.

The service was slow and practically non existent. Our waitress came over twice: to take our order, which she got wrong, and when I flailed my arms in the air to beg for sweet, sweet relief in the form of a check. I can overlook the fact that another server came over, reaching her sweaty arm across my food, in order to refill the sugar, salt, and pepper while we were seated there and obviously eating (which were filled, but left behind an empty ketchup); I can overlook the fact that we were not brought water until I asked a second time twenty minutes later; and, I can overlook the crooked table and neglect. You know what I can't overlook? Moldy food. Moldy bread that when sent back, due to our seating on the wall by the cooking station, that was then replaced by bread from the same moldy disgusting loaf. As a cook, why would you think that's okay? It tasted disgusting despite not having outward mold, because even if you don't see the telltale green, mold is pervasive beneath the foods' surface. Google it. Mold can be unseen and present even if you don't see it. To add insult to injury (if that's even possible at this point) they didn't comp anything or offer any apology, or even bother to refill the coffee cup. This place was a horrible disappointment. I recommend literally ANY other diner in the area unless you enjoy wretched service, moldy food, and a depressing atmosphere of broken dreams. If I could give less than one...

My first time here since they have change some years ago. This little nice spot you can enjoy music & lounge locally. They have security so no drama or foolishness they are on point which is a great thing. They need to be on point with guys trying to manipulate drunken woman in my opinion because I seen a woman breast out her shirt while her friend was trying to fix her clothes there was a guy on top of them (so much I thought it was her man so I asked & she said no it is not) the guy was feeling on them I can tell they didn't like it so I stood by them for their safety! If you like Spanish music 🎶 sometimes mixture of music maybe on the weekends they play. I would go back however, when I do I'll make sure to have my own drinks before buying any. Excellent food excellent service when you walk in it doesn’t take long for you to realize that it’s like eating in your families kitchen. Everybody knows everybody the waitresses know their regulars . The food comes out fast. Everything is homemade cooked to perfection and delicious. Waffles came with sausage, bacon, and ham Two eggs cooked however you’d like real butter real cup of creamer brought to the table for your coffees. We also had pastrami and eggs and home fries.
