I am wondering if there is a new owner at How May, because I have never had an issue before. Placing my order via phone was a little difficult given the language barrier and that was something I have not encountered at this take out location before. I have always ordered plain lo mein instead of white rice with my meal and paid a little extra, but I was not allowed to do that this time. I ordered at 5:54 and was told 10 minutes, I arrived at 6:15, paid and waited another 10 minutes. I checked the order, it was incorrect, another first for How May. Waited another 10 minutes for the correct order and when I asked about the “free soda” that comes with the order, I was told I could only get a can. A very tiny takeout restaurant. The food was good, with unexpected flavors. My family liked it. They enjoyed the sesame chicken and boneless pork with fried rice. Although my food wasn't bad, I found it too unusual for my liking. I usually expect Chinese food to taste a certain way, unless the menu states that it's different - or "Asian Fusion", or "creative" in some way. For example, my Chow Mein had an unexpected spiciness and a slight sweetness, in a dark sauce. I ordered the Chow Mein because I thought it would be mild and it wasn't.
