This was my second trip here.... The first was not a good experience either... We waited 20minutes without water, a menu or anything while people who were seated after us were getting food, but they were really busy, so decided to give this place another try... We walked in, not busy at all, we were seated by the hostess, and just as I was sitting down, she tells me to move to another table while she sits another couple at that table...wierd, I'm thinking, but move to the other table... Again, the waiting game 15 minutes go by.... no waiter, no water. The people at my original table are already eating....😣😣 A waitress finally appears, is scatterbrained, barely speaks English, can't answer simple questions about the menu...but we order
Now the food starts coming... . We ordered iced green tea... some syrupy tea came out instead...the Edamame, completely overcooked, boiled not steamed, no salt on it....my sashimi was terrible, the tuna was mealy, it tasted old, and was a strange color red, like it was gassed. The meal was not good. I was surprised I didn't get sick...
Here's the worst thing about this place...the wait staff and hostess(who may be the owner) yell at each other in Chinese from across the room the entire time we were there, both times... The whole dining experience sucked.... I'm reading other reviews which are very positive...there are not many sushi restaurant nearby... I don't understand it... But it's my...

The Patchogue Roll remains a standout—an elegant showcase of fresh ingredients, precise technique, and thoughtful creativity. Service is equally noteworthy: the staff blends warmth with professionalism, attentive without ever being intrusive. The sushi chefs, meanwhile, approach their craft as both cuisine and art form, presenting plates that are visually striking and layered with nuanced flavor. It is the kind of dining that edges toward Michelin recognition, remarkable in both execution and atmosphere.
“The Patchogue Roll is a masterclass in flavor and artistry, emblematic of a restaurant that never wavers in excellence. With attentive service and chefs who elevate sushi into fine art, this establishment edges toward Michelin...
Read moreEverything was super fresh, high quality ingredients. The salmon tasty, the avocado was buttery smooth, they have multiple kinds of fish eggs. Great chefs. However, the waitress looked annoyed when my friend asked for a fork, and she gave us all forks when she was the only one who needed it. The waitress was mostly fine, not outright rude, but not very friendly. Otherwise great quality food but mediocre service. Will come back for the food. Hopefully other waitresses are friendlier.
Update: I went back with my girlfriend, and the waitress I had was friendlier than the one I had previously. However, nobody had to ask for a fork this time! Haha. I am changing my 4 star to a 5 star because of the excellent food, I had better service this time, and it seems like a cool place to dine or hang out at the bar. I will return again for sure, maybe I'll head to the...
