Ralph's Famous Italian Ices & Ice Cream, Shirley — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Girls were rude. Despite making eye contact with us, & being told several times that we would be served next " I'll be right with you" ,the girls continued to serve many other customers who came after us, repeatedly. Waited almost 45 minutes before I behan to loose my polite patience & had to say something, was again told "be right with you" & several more customers who arrived 40 minutes or better,after us ,were served. Finaly had our order taken an hour + after arriving by an employee who acted as if it was the greatest imposition . Product is usually exceptional, ( we usually get ice, this time ice cream)too bad the service is horrible. There was not a long line, maybe 3 people ahead of us initially, but was a CONSTANT flow of new customers. I was standing AT the window WITH the rest of my party. We were continuously looked around,passed,through, & asked to step aside so the next customer could b helped. Whenever I replied that our order had not been taken yet,we had not been helped yet..etc., I would b told " I'll b right with you". All of the staff did this not just one person. I was very patient & polite, understanding that they were busy. Finaly received my order 25 minutes after ordering, a small vanilla ice cream cup, & 2 sundaes. Standard sundaes off of the menue, nothing complicated, nothing that should have taken 25 minutes. All were soft vanilla ice cream. The service was far too slow & rude. In a nut shell...waited 1hour & 40+ minutes , through horrible service,for average ice cream that we can get...

I go here all the time, never have a problem. Ices and Ice-cream is great. Went there tonight, have to say I'm extremely disappointed. Who I am assuming is the manager - a dirty blond, older then the other workers - was working. I was taking my order with another employee when this manager lady walks up, muttering something and slamming an Ice down. When the other employee came back with our card, I had said I wanted to order another ice. Thats when the manager comes up with an attitude. All through out the exchange she had a major attitude while taking more unnecessarily as the other employee had been taking my order just fine, I was confused on the twister and she only made things worse. In the end she told me "Next time, make sure you know what you want" and said "well you said this, I heard you" with a sneer when I had told her a strawberry twister with vanilla ice cream, and she gave me an all vanilla twister, claiming that's what I ordered. When she had asled what flavor icecream I wanted, I had said vanilla as I already told them I wanted the strawberry twister. Overall a terrible experience. I saw another customer with a review complaining about the same person. She really should be reprimanded and/or fired with the way she talks to customers, as this seems to be a recurring issue. I rather go to ice cream cottage down the street - at least they know...

First off I would like to state the ice was nasty. The service was horrible. It’s states no refund yet I was charged for a regular ice cream and I said kids size. Which regardless is very expensive. (Mind you that she was writing everything down.) When I told her she charged me extra for something I didn’t order she looked and shrugged it off and said she can’t give a refund. 2nd. The ice cream tasted horrible. It was like eating a bag of frozen sugar syrup. Disgusting. I went to them and stated it to them that I was not happy with the purchase. Instead of saying we can exchange it, the told me I could throw it out. First and last time I purchase from them. I rather go to ALDIs and buy the ice cream and it be way cheaper.
